A Closer Look at The Truth About Prayer

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P854 (07-21-23)

A Closer Look at The Truth About Prayer

~ How do we pray? What are we supposed to pray for? Can prayer change things? Can prayer circumvent God’s will? Are your prayers of concern greater than God’s knowledge and will and his love for all? Can prayer cause God to do anything to change the outcome? These are some of the things that are discussed in today’s program.

First off, a prayer of asking for forgiveness from God is not even being close to a prayer of faith. As we have spoken in the past, faith is always a responder to Truth. Asking for something from God in which he has already done it, is a denial of what God did in the first place. That is NOT faith, but is unbelief in a very key aspect of God. So it is so important to understand this very truth in our understanding of God’s forgiveness before we can ever hope to understand the truth about prayer.

Prayer starts with listening to what God says and not about asking God for something, or to do something based on me being the center of the universe.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Faith is Agreeing With and Trusting God

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P853 (07-20-23)

Living By Faith is Responding to God

~ Faith is a responder to God. Once a person understands the Finality of the Cross and the Reality of the Resurrection, then a person might ask the question, how do I live day to day with Christ Jesus? What do I do? And the simple answer is you live and walk by faith. Now faith is misunderstood by a majority of people today. They equate faith to grunting and groaning for God. Or to try and live righteously, because they still are believing in living in the energy of their flesh instead of resting in Him. So how do we rest in Jesus? By faith. There’s the word faith again. Faith is always a responder to Truth. Faith is simple, one plus one equals two. So what does two plus two equal? The eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews makes it clear what faith is and gives many examples of Responders to the Truth of the word of God. So how are you responding to Truth today? Are you resting in the finished work of Jesus at the cross? Or are you living a life in the energy of your flesh?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Righteousness is Only From God

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P72 (07-19-23)

Jesus at the Cross, Died for Us Then, So He Could Live in Us Now!

~ Behold the Lamb of God who took (past tense) away the sins of the world. Yes, Jesus took them away. That happened at the cross one time for ALL. We are on this side of the cross (after the cross) not the other side of the cross (before the cross) where John the Baptist declared, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” Now, living after the cross we should be shouting from the rooftops, “Look, the Lamb of God, who TOOK AWAY the sin of the world!” Do you believe this? Or do you think more forgiveness is required by God? Is Jesus ever going to die again for the sins of the whole world? Of course He isn’t. So if He isn’t going to die again on the cross, then why are people asking Him to do what He has already done? It’s because people don’t really have faith. For if they really had faith they would be thanking God for what He has already done. They are living a life of sin (unbelief).… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Made us The New Temple of God

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P71 (07-18-23)

Jesus Cleansed The Temple of God at The Cross

~ Most people don’t understand what Jesus really came to do the first time he was here. Jesus actually came to cleanse the temple and the future temple of God. People read the story of Jesus driving out the moneychangers from the temple and don’t have a clue that it was a picture of Him actually making the new temple, the temple of God, children of God, pure and a house of prayer. For anyone in Christ Jesus today, we are the temple of God and we are told that in Scripture. Jesus cleaned that temple at the cross. He got rid of all of our sins and took those upon himself and cleansed them never to see them again, so thus when the Holy Spirit comes to live in every believer through becoming born again of the Spirit of God, He has made us permanently pure forever by His death on the cross so that sin would no longer have a hold on us in His life. He was victorious over sin for us at the cross, so that we can become the righteousness of God in Him at our moment of becoming born again of the Spirit of God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Promised the Holy Spirit

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P70 (07-17-23)

The Holy Spirit is Given to Live in the Children of God

~ Today we have many false teachers teaching that everyone has the Holy Spirit living in them. This is simply NOT true. Only children of God have the Holy Spirit of God living in them. Only the Holy Spirit can give life to mortal bodies. We are told from Scripture that anyone that does not have the Spirit of Christ living in them, they do NOT belong to Christ. Yet people will go around saying we are all God’s children and all have the Holy Spirit living in everyone, which is a lie. The only way the Holy Spirit comes to give life is through someone placing faith in Jesus. God will not force anyone to receive Him. A person must exercise faith in Jesus, God in the flesh, who forgave them their sins on the cross. When a person places faith in Him and for what Jesus did on the cross, the Holy Spirit gives life to the dead. For we were all born spiritually dead in the world and need His Spirit for Life. That’s when a person becomes born again of the Spirit of God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Live by Truth and Respond With Faith

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P852 (07-14-23)

Faith Says “Thank You” to God For What He Has Already Done

~ So many times, Satan and his agents have changed the meaning of Greek words used in the Scriptures to mean something completely different from what God intends them to be. We have to go back to the original meaning of those words for us to have the proper understanding of the word of God. The word “confession” in the Greek is one of them. First off, we need to address what the word confession does NOT mean. It does NOT mean to ask for forgiveness by God. It does NOT mean to go to the Catholic confession booth and ask a priest for forgiveness. It does NOT mean going into your virtual Protestant confession booth and asking forgiveness from God directly either.

The Greek word for confession is: Strongs #3670 ὁμολογέω homologeo {hom-ol-og-eh’-o} – From a compound of the base of G3674 and G3056; to assent, that is, covenant, acknowledge to say the same thing as another, i.e. to agree with, assent:—con- (pro-) fess, confession is made, give thanks, promise.
