Classic Christianity – Bob George – New Years P3 (01-02-19)

Thank you so much for tuning into Classic Christianity radio with Bob George, who has been on the air for over 30 years, teaching people from God’s word. Our prayer for you is that you grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us now join Bob as he presents practical biblical insights to help people experience faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ.

Bob shares from Luke 2, reviewing the various appearances of angels, announcing events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ. Then we also have revelation by the Holy Spirit through an old man name Simeon and a widow named Anna, both righteous in the sight of God, often in the temple in worship and prayer. Simeon prophesises that salvation is even for the Gentiles. The Gentiles can be saved the same way as the Jew, by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Simeon also says Jesus will cause the rising and falling of many and a sword will pierce your own soul too. Anna prophesises concerning this child to be for the redemption of Israel. What could all this mean? Bob explains.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

God is Not Counting Your Sins Against You

Classic Christianity – Bob George – New Years P2 (01-01-19)

Bob shares about the nature of man, the lost and the saved, outward actions and inward thoughts, the conflict between the flesh and the Spirit within every believer, and how to walk in the spirit so as not to carry out the desires of the flesh. Bob elaborates on the difference between belief and faith, highlighting a common misunderstanding concerning the forgiveness of sins. All the sins of the world have already been taken away at the cross, so a believer is a forgiven person and does not need to ask God for forgiveness nor should he without denigrating the finished work of the cross. Why ask for something you already have? Bob then goes into an explanation of your identity in Christ.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Bob George – New Years P1 (12-31-18)

Bob shares from Ephesians 4 starting at verse 17. Bob explains the nature of the human flesh, how that is contrary to the Spirit, and as born again believers that struggle is ongoing until the day we die. Because of this struggle, the outward behavior of a believer can look no different than a non-believer. Yet, there is an internal change. Bob states that in order to change one’s actions one must change the way he thinks.

Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Starting in Ephesians 4:17, Bob goes into greater detail explaining the conflict between the flesh and the Spirit, showing from scriptures that exhortation to believers in how to live.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
