Revealed to Us by His Spirit

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P32 (12-17-24)

Those That Have The Spirit, Have the Mind of God Living in Them

“But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment. “For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-16

Knowing Jesus is Eternal Life

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P31 (12-16-24)

Those in Christ Jesus are Controlled by the Spirit of God Living in Them

~ “You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.” Romans 8:9-11

A person in Christ Jesus has the Spirit of God living in them. And as such, our spirit is Alive because of His Righteousness living directly in us, NOT because of our own self righteousness in the flesh. It’s so important to understand that the only people that have the righteousness of God living in them, are those that are born again of the Spirit of God. Abiding in the Holy Spirit is a Moment by Moment Choice by Us

~ “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither you, unless you abide in Me.” John 15:4

~ We are to place faith from first to last. Faith is a moment by moment choice we all have to make. And the faith is that God lives in us when we are in Christ Jesus. And He said the Holy Spirit would direct us in ALL TRUTH. Our flesh doesn’t want to be directed by the Holy Spirit. It wants to do things our own way, instead of His way. And when we fight against what the Holy Spirit wants us to do, we know it in our heart. Because the Holy Spirit will be talking to us, teaching us, disciplining us. And many times that discipline doesn’t feel good at the time. But when we look back on it, we see what the Lord wanted us to understand. And we can say thank you for teaching me TRUTH. Fellowship is Two Fellows in the Same Ship

In Christ Jesus We Are Always in The Fellowship!

~ “God, who has called you into FELLOWSHIP with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.” 1 Corinthians 1:9

~ “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have FELLOWSHIP with us. And this FELLOWSHIP of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3

~ When a person becomes born again of the Holy Spirit of God, they enter a new Life, that is always in fellowship with God. Once a person is saved by the Life of God, the Holy Spirit will never leave a person no matter what. Nothing can separate us from His Love for us, and in us. For we have God living in us. And when we have God living in us, He begins the process of renewing our mind. He shows us the Truth of His Word. He instructs us on the lies of the world. And through this whole process, he never counts our sins against us. For He took away all our sins at the cross.

Jesus is God and True to His Promises

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P30 (12-11-24)

Therefore, There is Now NO Condemnation for Those Who ARE IN Christ Jesus.

~ “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteous standard of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” Romans 8:1-4

Now we are coming to the point in the book of Romans and Paul is teaching us as to who we are IN Christ Jesus, if a person is indeed IN Christ Jesus. And that is a very important distinction to know and understand. NOT everyone is in Christ Jesus. Sure they may say they know Jesus, but do they really know the True Jesus of the word of God? Purpose of The Law

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P29 (12-10-24)

I Do Not Understand What I Do

~ “We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I admit that the law is good. In that case, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.” Romans 7:14,15

God knows us better than we know ourselves. When a person tries to obey the Law, it simply causes more sin in a person’s life. And they will constantly be chasing the sin tiger by the tail. For no one can obey the Law. And that is the point of the law in the first place, in order to show us how utterly sinful we really are.

It’s interesting, how hardly any would be law keeper hypocrite talks about the sin of covetousness, and dismisses even acknowledging that they covet things. Because that is one of the sins that is of the heart.
