Jesus Wants to Give You Life

Synopsis

It is wonderful to have a friend to talk to or a person to call on the phone for the answers to life for those things that are bothering you. For a person who is struggling with understanding what the unpardonable sin is, whether he committed it or not, and seems to not have a firm grasp on truth, it is good for him to feel free and to be able to call someone up to get answers to those questions. They are important questions that have answers in the scriptures.

Or, if you are a parent, and you see your young child go off to college, but are disturbed by the choices he is making that could destroy his life, and you want advice to know how to help him now, because you love him. You want to get guidance on how to relate to him now, no longer as a parent since he is grown, but to be available to guide him because you love him. To be available to call to get such advice is a wonderful privilege.

Synopsis

It is so vitally important to grow in discernment, in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Otherwise, you are so easily led astray by every wind and doctrine. Things can look good on the surface, sort of like the tree in the garden of Eden, that looks pleasing to the eye, having an appearance of wisdom, but leads to destruction. Such is the case that goes on even more so in the world today, as Jesus told us, to let no man deceive you. You have every religion that seems to be merging into one, with mysticism, tongues of fire, song lyrics without truth to them, catering to the emotions and to the flesh.

A person calls in and says they see nothing wrong with being involved in a Catholic service. How do you know they teach error? Read the word of God, and allow the Spirit to teach you truth. If you are born again, then the Lord will teach you. Jesus Gives People New Hearts

Synopsis

Many people experience depression. It seems it comes upon people because of injury, insult or rejection. There is often fear and anger associated with that. You do not want to experience that again. There is fear that you will. You have experienced those same patterns again and again. The truth to that matter, that is part of what Jesus said, that in this world you shall have tribulation. The key to overcoming depression is not by trying to alleviate the problem but by getting to know the perfect, unconditional love of God. For God Himself said that since He has overcome the world, and He lives in you and will never leave you or forsake you, that in Him, you too can overcome the world. He said that perfect love casts out fear.

This renewing of your mind will not happen overnight, but as you listen to the Lord and let Him speak to you through His word, you will begin to see your life transformed in your thinking. Your circumstances may not change, but inner attitudes in your heart will change. Synopsis

You can hear people say today that everyone is a child of God or that there are many roads to God. Is that true? No. There is only one way to Jesus, and he tells us what gives someone the right to become a child of God.

John 1:11-13
11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God – 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

When people say such things, it shows that they do not understand who Jesus is and what he came to do. Until a person has the Spirit of God living in him, which is what it means to be a child of God, a new spiritual creation. Recall the conversation Jesus had with Nicodemus, who asked him what is required to enter heaven. Jesus replied, “Unless a man is born again, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.“

Synopsis

Sometimes we can get all bogged down worrying about whether someone is going to be saved. We shared the truth with him and we want him to be saved. But we have to learn what God’s role is and what our role is. One man waters, another plants, but God causes the growth. Ultimately, man has a free will. There are people who have heard the message of the gospel, but they do not want it. They are stubborn. We cannot make anyone want to listen. It is their free choice. It does no good to get all worried about that. Indeed, worry is sin. So let it go. Shake the dust off your feet and move on. Acknowledge that that worry is sin, praise God for His forgiveness of sin already, and thank Him for His great mercy and kindness to you.

Many times people do not understand what salvation is. Salvation is being saved from the consequence of sin, which is death, by the gift of God, which is life, eternal life. Jesus Came to Give You Life

Synopsis

It takes time to grow and mature in Christ. Oftentimes, when you have been a Christian awhile, you will hear common questions being asked by many people, generation after generation. Certain verses or passages of scripture, when not understood in its context, in the totality of the cross, of being made complete in Christ, being under a New Covenant, not under an Old Covenant, you are likely to have a faulty interpretation of scripture. The key to understanding, first of all, is to be born again of the Spirit. Assuming that is so, then you have the mind of Christ, and the Spirit will lead you into truth.

The problem that many people have is that they rely on denominational persuasions of men. They listen to too many preachers out there, and do not get into the word of God themselves. Ask the Spirit of God to reveal the meaning of the word of God to you. He is the only one you can rely on to reveal the truth, the meaning of the word of God, to you.

Oftentimes, a young believer will come across a passage, that somehow they think indicates you can lose your salvation, or that you have to persevere to the end to be saved, or to keep short accounts with God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
