Jesus Loves You He Forgave All Your Sins

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P37 (01-18-21)

Synopsis

The older you get, you will experience the death of someone you love, of a mother or father or a close friend. Or you may be experiencing a very difficult situation where a close friend is sick, or is in a critical accident, and is unconscious. You call on others to pray with you. Now, do we pray in accordance with God’s will or do we expect God to answer whatever we pray? Do we falsely think that since God lives in me, and He healed people, that, therefore, we can ask anything in His name and He will do it? In other words, am I telling God what to do so that He must respond to me, or am I listening to the voice of God and responding to what He has intended me to do or say?

Do we keep looking for a sign and a wonder but never come to faith in Christ, looking for only those things of this world, that are temporary and do not last? Do we look beyond the physical miracle and see that the greater miracle is when someone comes … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus My Lord and My God

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P32 (01-05-21)

Synopsis

We all have doubts in life. It is just natural to mankind. “How do I know Jesus is God?” “I have to see to believe.” These are things you may have said, or even heard others say. Have you thought through the truth of such a statement, that I have to see to believe. A lawyer once said, “Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear.” Everything that you see and hear must be verified with corroborating evidence. So what evidence do we have so we may believe Jesus is God?

Sometimes seeing can get us into trouble, when our eyes are focused on the trials and storms of life, and you think all is lost. In the natural realm, yes, a storm could sink your boat and you could drown. But who is in control of all things, the storm and the seas of life? Consider the real life lesson as told by Jesus when his disciples were out on the Sea of Galilee in a fishing boat, when a storm rose up all of a sudden. Then Peter sees Jesus walking on … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Having Faith Hope and Love

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Faith, Hope & Love P3 (04-22-20)

Synopsis

This faith, hope and love is the triplicate that sticks together like the Father, Son and Holy Spirit of the Trinity. Indeed, Christ Jesus is our only hope, who initiated this love to us so that we can enter this blessed hope in which we now stand. We enter in by faith. The same faith that we exercise so that Christ Jesus came to dwell in us by His Spirit is the same faith in which we live day to day. Christ in you is your only hope of glory. That same faith that you had exercised to be transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light is the same faith God wants us to exercise every day. Several passages of scripture makes this clear. Colossians 2:6-7 and Philippians 2:12-13 are examples. Faith in Him produces His work in and through you and me. We, as a branch, are bearing the fruit of that life, but we, as a branch, have a function in that life. It is to be available for the work of the Lord that has been worked in us … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Faith is a Responder to the Grace of God

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Faith, Hope & Love P2 (04-21-20)

Synopsis

So these three remain; faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love. Although we cannot produce love, in Christ we have been given the privilege to participate in the divine nature. We participate in the divine nature by abiding in Christ, trusting him to do through us what we could never do, as Jesus explained to us in John 15. So this love is to reach out to people, to share the message of Christ, to serve in the spiritual gifts God has given us, to serve the body, to give a cup of water in the name of Christ, and any of those things God has led us to do by the Spirit He has given us.

We have been made a new creation in Christ, so this labor is prompted by the love of God that has been poured into our hearts, imploring every man to be made complete in Christ. We have this hope in us, this promise of God, that when we are absent from the body, we are present with the Lord. This life is temporary, so our … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Don't Set Aside The Grace of God

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P62 (03-31-20)

Synopsis

As you read about the conversion of Paul in Damascus, of his former way of life, and how he met the risen Lord, and how devoted he was to get the message of the good news out, what does that compel us to do? As you read along in Romans 15 and Acts 20-21, you realize that Paul, in so doing, met all kinds of trials and tribulations, and many times just one blow away from death, yet he was not dissuaded to proclaim this gospel. Listen along with the audio, as Bob George shares the heart of Paul and his devotion to Christ.

How devoted are we to share this message of good news, of life in Christ Jesus? If you are in Christ Jesus, knowing that when you die, you will be absent from the body and present with the Lord, and that those who are not yet in Christ, are headed to a place called hell, that if they were to die tonight, they will be forever separated from God where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 8:12, 13:42,50; 22:13, 24:51, 25:30), where the fire … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Life Through Jesus

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P22 (12-16-19)

Synopsis

So this condition of spiritual death happened in the garden of Eden. There was a war raging in heaven between Satan and God. Satan, who deceived Eve, and caused Adam and Eve to sin, thought he had won. To be clear, Adam, of his own free will, chose to decide for himself what is right and wrong, what is good and evil, independent of God.

Now Satan thought he destroyed God’ creation, forever. All mankind since Adam are born very much alive to the world, and with free will, but dead to God. That is why man has a longing in his heart, and ask questions like: “Why am I here?”, “Is there more to life than this meaningless life I have?”, or “Why do I feel so empty inside?”

The story does not have to end there, in the death of mankind. God, full of love and compassion for mankind, had a plan. Through the lineage of the Jews, through the line of David, He sent His only Son, Jesus, into this world. Jesus is God in the flesh, a person of the Trinity. Jesus came to show us His … Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
