Whoever Has The Son Has Life
~ And whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. This is key for our understanding of who is saved and who is not saved. People get this idea that they get the life of God sometime in the future, instead of the very moment they accepted by faith Jesus, God in flesh, who reconciled the whole world unto himself and is no longer counting their sins against them. No one gets their sins forgiven today. For without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness by God. Jesus died once for all sins, for all time, for everyone. Jesus is never going to die on a cross ever again. When a person accepts Jesus, who took away all their sins on the cross, God’s Spirit comes to live in the true believer and begins the process of renewing their mind. If a person’s mind is not being renewed, there is a good chance that the person isn’t saved and does not have the Holy Spirit of God living in them.
