Walk By Faith

Classic Christianity Radio – The Mystery of God Part 1 (2-11-19)

Bob George TeachingBob George provides insights on the subject of the mystery of God from God’s word. When many people think of the word mystery, they think of a mystery novel or maybe a detective show on television. In a detective mystery, a detective solves a murder from various clues gathered from interviewing suspects or witnesses and investigations surrounding a crime scene. When one thinks of a mystery in the scriptures, look back in the time period of the Jews and the Gentiles in the Old Testament before the cross. What information was known then? What could be known through the prophets and that which was written down through the Jewish scribes? Even though Moses wrote about Christ, many did not fully understand. How could they? There were clues alright but their meaning was hidden. Not until Jesus Christ came and explained what He came to do and then finished the work He said He came to do was this mystery understood. But not until the Holy Spirit came to dwell in men, where truth was made known in the hearts of men, was this mystery made known. Paul, appointed by … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Classic Christianity – A New Heart for a New Year Part 2 (1-22-19)

Bob George TeachingWelcome to Classic Christianity Radio with Bob George. Let’s now join Bob George as he offers practical biblical insights as he helps people experience faith, hope and love in Jesus.

You may have heard it said that there is no man greater than the laws of the land. There is mercy apart from the law absolutely, but under the law you better carry that out otherwise you lost it. That is not a popular stance today, and people are called bigots for such a stance.

So what do we read from God’s word to live a new life? Can you really live the Christian life? As a believer, do you struggle in the flesh? Do you fail at times? Yes, we all do. Do you fear calling someone in the body of Christ for help when you struggle? Why not? Are you afraid of being judged? What then is the purpose of the body of Christ? If Christ judges us in the flesh no more, neither should any other believer? Bob explains the role of the body of Christ in encouraging and helping one another.

I am a Forgiven Person

Classic Christianity – A New Heart for a New Year Part 1 (1-21-19)

Bob George TeachingWelcome to Classic Christianity Radio with Bob George. Let’s now join Bob George as he offers practical biblical insights as he helps people experience faith, hope and love in Jesus.

Bob shares from Ephesians 4 starting at verse 17. Bob explains the nature of the human flesh, how that is contrary to the Spirit, and as born again believers that struggle is ongoing until the day we die. Because of this struggle, the outward behavior of a believer can look no different than a non-believer. Yet, there is an internal change. Bob states that in order to change one’s actions one must change the way he thinks.

Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Starting in Ephesians 4:17, Bob goes into greater detail explaining the conflict between the flesh and the Spirit, showing from scriptures that exhortation to believers in how to live.

Ephesians 4:22-28

22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”[d]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Bob George TeachingBob George shares insight from the book of Ephesians, particularly the first four chapters.

The first four chapters of Ephesians explains what Christ means to us. Jesus Christ completed the work that he began in us. He did it all. He created the universe, recreated you and me, those born again spiritually, into a new creation. He has given us his life and became life for us. He has not just given us his life but he is our life. That is why the Apostle Paul could say:

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Prior to the day of Pentecost nobody is indwelt with the Spirit of God. The Spirit came on men for divine service and then could leave. That is why David prayed this prayer in the Psalms.

Psalm 51:11
Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
