Jesus is the Solution Not Pharma

On today’s program Bob answered many of the same questions a number of years ago that are still repeatedly asked today. Tithing is one of them. First off, tithing was old testament law to support the Levitical priesthood. Listen as Bob speaks with the first caller, John from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in regards to tithing. John brought some additional insights into that too, and even shared with his pastor about tithing being of the old covenant, old testament, not the new. Hebrews 7 and 12 speak of a change in the law.

Hebrews 7:12
12 For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also.

The second caller,  Tommy called from Nashville, Tennessee. He had a question into being given prescription drugs for chemical imbalances of the brain. Listen in as Bob and Tommy discuss this issue. We would do well to pay particular attention to scripture on this area, especially in the book of Revelation on this one for today, where the Greek word pharmekeia is used, which by the way, is where we get the word “pharmacy” and “pharma” (drug companies) from. We’ve been deceived into thinking pharma is the solution to every problem.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Is Tithing for Today? Forgiveness And God is The Initiator

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

Bob: We’re gonna go to Pebble Beach, California, Manom you’re on the air.

Manom: Hi. My question is my husband and I come from different backgrounds, but I’m Catholic my husband’s Protestant and we’ve tried very hard to lead a Christian, you know, household. With a husband head of the household and we raise our children to go to Sunday school and we both had the benefit of growing up in households that had that kind of structure. But now that we’re older and our parents are getting older in their 70s and 60s, we go back home and we find our parents aren’t living certain Christian principles and it’s causing a lot of conflict, like, his parents have changed religion and maybe come to me, less Christian, and I’m, we have a lot of conflicts with them and I want To lead a Christian lifestyle, but I feel like it’s a lie when we go home for family visits and it’s filled with tension.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Our Eternal Inheritance

We’re getting ready to begin now at chapter number 11 called an eternal inheritance and this lesson should answer a number of questions that people have in regard to this thing of our inheritance. And Christ, is it eternal or is that temporal? Some people call that eternal security. Some people call it once saved always saved. I just call it truth and the issue is is it true that when Christ did it that he did it, or was it just a partial death on the cross? A partial resurrection? And is it some of him and some of me or is it all of him and none of me? Or is it all of me and none of him? And to those questions, we have to ask ourselves where are we in our belief system? So before we pick up, I want to spend just a moment of talking about at the beginning of the book of Romans and chapter three picking up there. Beginning in verse 19. Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Let The Holy Spirit of God Control Your Life

We continue on with Bob teaching out of the bible study, A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection.

The law written on stone, shows you your sinfulness. And that’s what the Bible says, that the law was given to show us to be perfectly sinful though, so that we would turn to Christ for our redemption. My friends, the law had a purpose, the law still has a purpose, but it says, it’s not to the saved. It’s to the lost and the purpose of the law to the lost, is to show us to be perfectly sinful so that we see and turn to him for his provision.

Now if that ministry that brought death that he’s talking to the wages of sin is death. Here’s the law. Violate it and a goner. If that ministry that brought death, which was engraved on letters of stone came with glory and it did so much Glory that the Israelites couldn’t even look steadily at the face of Moses because of its Glory fading though, it was (and it goes ahead to say) how much more do you think the new covenant, the glory of the new covenant.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Led by the Spirit of God

We’re getting ready to begin in lesson number seven, led by the Spirit of God. You know, there’s nothing that is any more of it confusing to the Christian world, many times. And what it is to walk in the spirit. And other words, the absence of any times of the teaching on the holy spirit of God is quite evident in people’s lives. And then when many times there is a teaching on the spirit of God, we make the spirit, something the spirit of God, something, quite different than what I believe, biblically, it talks about the Spirit of God being And that is the spirit of God came to lead us and to teach us to be our counselor. He didn’t come to be our entertainment center. He came to be our counselor and the one who was going to lead us into all truth, which we will talk about very short, but to some the Christian life becomes a matter of imitating Jesus. In other words, the absence of an understanding of the Spirit controlled life leads the believer to that impossible task of trying to live the Christian Life in the energy of his own flesh.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Changes Everything

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P708 (02-11-22)

Be above reproach so the gospel can go out. Guard the truth and protect those entrusted to your care. Grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

So many callers call in because they want to grow and have a desire for others to come to know the Lord and to grow. They want to encourage those whom the Lord has used, such as Bob George, for they themselves were richly blessed by what he shared from the scriptures. It is not by what man has said, but for pointing them to the word of God, so they can test and see what is said is true. They find out what is shared, checking it out from the word of God for themselves, and the Spirit of God within them makes the truth known to them, solidifying that truth in their heart. This is evidenced by the love toward one another, with true freedom in Christ. They are no longer bound up by the law but experience true freedom with a single-minded focus on Christ, who is your life, at work within you. The book of Colossians is such a rich book, demonstrating freedom in Christ at work among the believers, and the encouragement and instruction to continue to grow in the Lord.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
