Law And Grace

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace  P01 (09-19-22)

Law Was Given by Moses ~ Grace Was Given by Jesus Christ

~ The Contrast Between Law and Grace
The Word of God makes abundant use of a very helpful teaching tool—contrasts: light and darkness, the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan, life and death, lost and saved, just to name a few. And one very beautiful and educational contrast found throughout the Bible is law and grace.

Far from being a dull theological subject, law and grace is the very backbone of the gospel. The difference between the two is at the heart of how a person is saved and, equally important, how a person will live the Christian life. Law and grace is not a side issue, it winds its way into every nook and cranny of the Christian life.

Without a proper understanding of law and grace, a person will be “double minded, and unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8). The Bible will be hopelessly contradictory for such a person and he will be unable to relate to God with confidence and thanksgiving.

However, those who have come to a fuller understanding of the grace under which we live have nearly felt “born again—again.”… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus is Love

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P742 (06-10-22)

For True Believers, Jesus is In Us When The Trials & Tribulations of Life Hit Us

For born again believers, Christ lives in us, and when the trials and tribulations of life come upon us, and they will, we can be sure that the God that saves us is the same God that sustains us. In life, we will experience the loss of loved ones, possibly financial hardships, health issues, and face other things in our lives that will be difficult to go through at the time. But we are told that nothing can separate us from the love of God. He will be right there with us and in us to sustain us through these things in life.

Listen in as Bob shares insights from the word of God.

Romans 8:37-39
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus Fulfilled The Law And The Prophets

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P718 (03-18-22)

Jesus Fulfilled the Whole Law and the Prophets

Our first call in listener, Andy, called about the 10 commandments and the law of God and wanted to know if they were for us to obey today. Bob explains to him that the law is for the lost and not for the saved. Another caller, Greg, called in about felling like he was going to kill himself and felt like the devil was telling him to do this or do that. Bob had the privilege to lead him to Christ Jesus on the air. Praise the Lord!

Luke 15:10 Jesus said:
10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Our third caller, Renee, called up to ask Bob about Malachi 3:16 and Tithing. Bob explains the book of Malachi in general and also explains how tithing is not New Covenant. Free will giving is new covenant. Also, the scroll of remembrance as talked about in Malachi is not God writing that down. The people wrote it down in a scroll of remembrance.

Professer vs Possessor of Jesus

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P43 (03-08-22)

Professers vs Possessors of Jesus Christ

Let’s continue on our journey in a Closer Look at the Reality of the Resurrection.

Bob: I think that you will probably agree that teaching through this series on A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection, is one of the most exciting series that we’ve ever done. And, the resurrection of Christ is paramount to the Christian faith. It’s a matter of fact, it is so paramount that Paul said that without the resurrection. our faith is futile. We’re to be pitied of all people because we’re still in our sins. And so the whole essence of the Christian faith rests upon, was that tomb empty? Or was it as I’ve said so many times that the tomb of Jesus is the only one that is famous for who isn’t in it. And again, we have to either explain that away or fall on our face and give our lives to it, that tomb was empty. There had to be a reason for it. That could have been a reason of course, that possibly the apostles came in the middle of the night and stole the tomb or stole the body out of the tomb.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity and Growing in Grace

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P42 (03-07-22)

Approach the Throne of Grace With Confidence

Let’s continue on our journey in a Closer Look at the Reality of the Resurrection.

So when we access the Father, who do we access? The one who is full of grace and of truth. Why do we go to Him to receive grace and truth? You don’t go to God to instruct Him. I mean, just how much instruction do you think you can give to God? You go to God In prayer, to receive instruction, to receive grace in your time of need, finding mercy in your time of need. Most people think prayer is going into His presence to kind of get something from God, like a spoiled brat going in, who’s already been given everything and going in wanting some more. It’s like the spoiled little kid whose father owns Toys R Us and goes in and wants more toys. You already own the store. Yeah, it’s just amazing how our concept of God is and what our concept of what prayers are all about. Prayer is going boldly, receiving mercy, finding help, finding grace in our time of need, going into the throne of grace to receive grace and mercy and truth.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Not By Works of The Law

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P35 (02-16-22)

Our Eternal Inheritance

We’re getting ready to begin now at chapter number 11 called an eternal inheritance and this lesson should answer a number of questions that people have in regard to this thing of our inheritance. And Christ, is it eternal or is that temporal? Some people call that eternal security. Some people call it once saved always saved. I just call it truth and the issue is is it true that when Christ did it that he did it, or was it just a partial death on the cross? A partial resurrection? And is it some of him and some of me or is it all of him and none of me? Or is it all of me and none of him? And to those questions, we have to ask ourselves where are we in our belief system? So before we pick up, I want to spend just a moment of talking about at the beginning of the book of Romans and chapter three picking up there. Beginning in verse 19. Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
