~ “We know that whatever the law says, and all of course, all of this teaching in this particular lesson is what is the purpose of the law? In other words, why did God give us the law? Well, it says, Well, you know, that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced, and the whole world held accountable to God. So if you want to be under the law, you’re going to have to be accountable to God, not to one another, but accountable to God, and what the accountability to God is, have you violated the least of these my commandments in your entire lifetime? Do We Really Believe it is Finished? Do You Believe Jesus Completed Forgiveness on the Cross for You?

~ Most people involved in Christianity are living like they are still in the desert, or worse, still in Egypt as a slave. They refuse to enter into the promised land by faith. Because they still have one foot in the law, and the other foot in grace, which is really not grace at all. They pretend that they are obeying the 10 commandments, and they know in their hearts they can’t obey them, so then they pretend that they try and obey them. They call God a liar by their very actions. They make a mockery of the cross. God tells us to enter into the New Covenant. Leave behind the old, and enter into the new today. Enter into the Promised Land for you!

Understanding the New Covenant

Then He Adds: “Their Sins and Lawless Acts I Will Remember NO More.”

~ Today people are acting like they are living in both the old and the new covenant at the same time. They pretend that they are obeying the 10 commandments, and they even make up their own rules and commands that are man-made, and think they can obey those too. They even set a pecking order down, and believe they are more righteous than others because they obey their man-made laws. Yet they are hypocrites. They never come to the knowledge of truth. These people are double-minded and unstable in all ways. They will teach doctrines of men instead of God. They will have large followings and many people are being led astray because they think there must be a little bit of good teaching mixed in with the error. Yet they will not go back to the foundation of Christ Jesus and realize or understand that we live in a new covenant today, where God said, their sins and lawless acts will I remember no more. Hebrews 10:17

Being Clothed in the Righteousness of Jesus Christ

~ “That’s grace. It is also a picture, it is a foreshadowing of what was going to happen, obviously, 1000s of years later, when Jesus Christ clothed us in His righteousness. So the grace of God clothed man when he fell, and the grace of God clothes us today, in the midst of our sin, taken away at the cross, clothed in his righteousness, so that we stand today, not in our own little Christian fig leaves. But we stand today clothed in his righteousness. And folks today, as man today is still trying to find his acceptance in the sight of God through what he does. All that is, is making a bunch of dumb Christian fig leaves, and hanging them on yourself, instead of resting in the clothing that has been provided for you in Christ Jesus, and rest in the fact that you have been clothed in his righteousness.”

Law Was Given by Moses ~ Grace Was Given by Jesus Christ

~ The Contrast Between Law and Grace
The Word of God makes abundant use of a very helpful teaching tool—contrasts: light and darkness, the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan, life and death, lost and saved, just to name a few. And one very beautiful and educational contrast found throughout the Bible is law and grace.

Far from being a dull theological subject, law and grace is the very backbone of the gospel. The difference between the two is at the heart of how a person is saved and, equally important, how a person will live the Christian life. Law and grace is not a side issue, it winds its way into every nook and cranny of the Christian life.

Without a proper understanding of law and grace, a person will be “double minded, and unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8). The Bible will be hopelessly contradictory for such a person and he will be unable to relate to God with confidence and thanksgiving.

For born again believers, Christ lives in us, and when the trials and tribulations of life come upon us, and they will, we can be sure that the God that saves us is the same God that sustains us. In life, we will experience the loss of loved ones, possibly financial hardships, health issues, and face other things in our lives that will be difficult to go through at the time. But we are told that nothing can separate us from the love of God. He will be right there with us and in us to sustain us through these things in life.
