We Were Set Free From the Law of Sin and Death to Be Slaves to Righteousness

~ “What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law, but under grace? Never may it be! Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to him whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness? But thanks be to God that you who were slaves of sin have now become obedient from the heart to the pattern of teaching to which you were committed. And having been set free from sin, you have become slaves to righteousness.” Romans 6:15-18

To understand what being a slave to righteousness about requires being born of the Holy Spirit of God. Being a slave for righteousness is NOT about what we do or don’t do, but it is a matter of placing faith in the faithful One of God to complete the work He began in you. The Spirit is Given For Life AND to Guide Us Into All TRUTH

~ However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. John 16:13

Most have no clue what being guided by the Holy Spirit is. For most do not have the Holy Spirit living in them, because they are dead in their unbelief of Jesus and His righteousness. And so, because most do not have the Holy Spirit living in them, they can only be guided by Satan and the world. And those that do have the Holy Spirit living in them, but fail to abide in the teaching of the Holy Spirit, will also be guided by their own understanding of things, and will fall back into the lies of Satan and the world. When a person places faith in Jesus, the Spirit of God comes to take up residence in them. Prior to that, we are Man without the Spirit of God living in us. All Men are Born Dead, Without the Spirit of God Living in Them

~ Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned. Romans 5:12

If a person doesn’t know they are dead, why would they ever turn to Jesus for Life? It’s one thing to know that our sins have been forgiven at the cross, it’s something else to understand that we are ALL dead without the Life giver living inside us, the Holy Spirit of God, the One that gives us eternal life the moment we place faith in Him. No man is ever born physically by natural birth, alive spiritually. We were All born in the image of the fallen Adam, dead. And scripture is crystal clear on this. The Law Was Added to Show Man (male and female) His Sinfulness

~ The law came in so that the trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20,21
~ The law shows us our sinfulness. The law is like a mirror, when we look in the mirror, we see how bad we really are. Everything that the law says to do, or not do, we CANNOT do. And therein is what the law was intended to do. It was brought in to show us our sin, and show that we could NOT keep law. And to show us we needed a savior, to save us from Death. So what does Satan do? He changes the laws. We Were Born Physically in the Image of Adam, Dead Spiritually, Not in the Image of God

~ When Adam was 130 years old, he had a son in his own likeness, after his own image; and he named him Seth. Genesis 5:3
~ Details matter in EVERYTHING. When people say, “We are born in the Image of God” that is a lie. For there was only ONE born in the image of God, and that was Jesus, the First Born of All Creation. “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” Colossians 1:15 Jesus is the last “Adam” ~ Man.
