Your Identity in Christ Jesus

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P467 (8-23-19)

Synopsis

The first caller, Anne, wanted to thank Bob for how he encouraged the previous caller, a man who was dying from cancer, to not make decisions based on fear and not to let the doctors or medical staff put fear in you. She had asked Bob if people should at least go more to the Lord instead of the medical profession or even pastors?

Bob and Anne both shared from personal experiences how much fear hospital staff and doctors put in you if you let them. Doctors will insist that if you do not do this or that procedure that you will have these consequences, that if you do not have open heart surgery that you will go into cardiac arrest. Te main point is that you do not let them drive your decision-making based on fear. You lean on the Lord for wisdom and understanding for the decisions you make.

Bob was in agreement with Anne on this matter. Both Anne and Bob shared much heart-breaking experiences of friends or relatives with cancer. A man dies much sooner than expected, and that even from something next to nothing, or … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Salvation is Eternal Life in Jesus

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 39 (07-01-19)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues sharing from the gospel of John. He shared about how the disciples waited in Galilee to receive the promised Holy Spirit. That day they were born again. When they received the Holy Spirit, they were changed men. Before they were once cowardly and fearful, hiding in a room fearing for their lives, and now they are preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ boldly before men. There are those in the crowd who were drawn to hear the teachings of Jesus. So too was Nicodemus, a religious Pharisee. Unlike the other Pharisees, he wanted to know the will of God. Nicodemus had said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.” The other Pharisees were like Communists or politicians of today, not wanting to hear truth, but just spin a story. They hated Jesus without reason. Jesus came full of grace and truth. This is very evident in John 8 in how he restores a woman caught in adultery. The Pharisees set her up in order try to … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

How Many Miracles to Believe

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 38 (06-26-19)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues sharing from the gospel of John, starting at John 7:30. The main point Bob emphasized was that Jesus acted in love. He did not come to condemn but to save. He walked in love and is full of mercy and grace. His attitude is one of how to restore man. When you see someone in a sin, do you look down on them and tell them they deserve to be where they are or do you have pity and a longing in your heart for the person to be set free, to walk in new free freedom, to change their attitude toward sin.

After the humble, those wanting to do the will of God, seeing Jesus love, miracles and manner of life, had come to believe and put their faith in Jesus, the rulers of the age and the religious leaders became angry. How nonsensical and against all reason is that! Yet that is not unlike the religious leaders and rulers of this world today. The rulers of this world see such actions of Jesus as a threat to their earthly kingdom, and wanted to kill Jesus, all … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Classic Christianity – Book of John p15 (11-13-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues teaching from the book of John. Currently he is sharing practical biblical insight from John 5:41-45. From this passage he shares that the opposite of love is pride. He illustrates several ways man shows pride and contrasts that with love as listed in 1 Corinthians 13:4-6. God is love and perfectly shows such love. Bob explains that man cannot produce this love in their flesh, but by abiding on the vine (John 15:5), so they can bear the fruit, the characteristics of the Spirit, as listed in Galatians 5:22-23. In contrast to the Pharisees, who accepted praise from men rather than seeking the glory that comes from God, could not even bear love. Unless someone is born again and has God’s love poured into their heart, they cannot give out love, being detached from the vine.

John 5:41-45

41 “I do not accept glory from human beings, 42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. 43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
