Jesus Wants to Live His Life Through Us His Temple

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P80 (08-08-23)

Allow Christ Jesus to Live His Life Through You

~ When Jesus walked on the earth, the body of Christ was located in a small place in the world. The disciples spoke with him, asked him questions and he answered them. He also taught them what the word of God meant (even though they did not fully understand it at the time). God in flesh, Jesus walked the earth with men, and he even taught large multitudes of people and performed many mighty works. Yet Jesus said that we would do greater works than He. And we sometimes look at that particular verse and don’t even realize the greater works we ourselves are doing. For Jesus lives in us today (all who are born again of the Spirit), and the Body of Christ Jesus is now walking all over the world through and in us. For we are branches and he is the vine. Everything that flows out of us that is “good” is Him working in and through us. We don’t have any good in our flesh, and our flesh counts for nothing. For flesh and blood cannot inherit the … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Loves You God Forgave You

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P74 (07-25-23)

Make Your Body Available to Jesus For Service to Him

~ In view of God’s mercy and love for us, we ought to love one another as he has loved us. How do we do that? By abiding in the Vine. For He is the vine and we are the branches. He wants us to simply be available to be used by Him. That is our proper worship and our daily sacrifice to Him. When a child of God is abiding in Him, the Holy Spirit will instruct us to do and say what the Spirit of God wants us to do and say. God is the one that will provide the fruit of the Spirit. We can’t do any of it ourselves, but only He can do all of it. Yet so many times, we forget the truth of the word of God in this area of our lives, and we try and go out grunting and groaning for God himself. We stop resting in Him and instead focus on what we think we ought to do, based on the energy of our flesh. We forget that He is the … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Made us The New Temple of God

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P71 (07-18-23)

Jesus Cleansed The Temple of God at The Cross

~ Most people don’t understand what Jesus really came to do the first time he was here. Jesus actually came to cleanse the temple and the future temple of God. People read the story of Jesus driving out the moneychangers from the temple and don’t have a clue that it was a picture of Him actually making the new temple, the temple of God, children of God, pure and a house of prayer. For anyone in Christ Jesus today, we are the temple of God and we are told that in Scripture. Jesus cleaned that temple at the cross. He got rid of all of our sins and took those upon himself and cleansed them never to see them again, so thus when the Holy Spirit comes to live in every believer through becoming born again of the Spirit of God, He has made us permanently pure forever by His death on the cross so that sin would no longer have a hold on us in His life. He was victorious over sin for us at the cross, so that we can … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Walking in the New Covenant

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P835 (05-18-23)

We Walk in The New Covenant Today, Not The Old

~ “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16

~ It is so important for us to understand the New Covenant that we live under today. For there are those out there that are still trying to live under the Old Covenant, as though that is in affect today. While all scripture (old and new) is given by inspiration of God, yet it is extremely important that we understand the context of all of God’s word. For example, understanding that for a person trying to live under the 10 Commandments, God is looking at the heart. No one ever lived a perfect life (other than Jesus), never breaking the 10 commandments. And Jesus gave examples of how God looks at the heart, and how everyone breaks the 10 commandments. This is why we need Jesus for our righteousness.

Vine and Branches

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P45 (01-23-23)

Jesus Is The Vine We Are The Branches ~ Only Jesus Can Produce The Fruit

~ Jesus said: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5

~ “The question is, is very well put, because every command that Jesus ever commanded us is an impossibility for us to carry out in the energy of our flesh. It is a total impossibility. When it says to be holy, as your Father in heaven is holy, how are you going to carry that out? It talks about the fact of being perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect? How in the world are we going to carry that out? It talks about all of the things that Jesus taught, they are absolute standards of what what holiness is, and what perfection is, and what goodness is and everything connected with God. But it has nothing to do with us, in our fallen state. And so even though the command is there, you can you can … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
