Rest in Jesus God Has Forgiven You

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P515 (02-27-20)

Synopsis

Listen as Bob provides practical advice and shares truth from God’s word to help people walk in freedom (Galatians 5:1). Do not let put yourself back under the law (Galatians 3:3). You are no longer under the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). You have been set free from that. There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). You are now under grace (Romans 6:14). Learn to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Satan will lie to you, to get your mind off Christ and on His wonderful grace (John 10:10). In our flesh, we will always be in need to have our minds continually be renewed with truth to dispel error (John 8:32). We are always to be alert and of sober mind, for the devil prowls around to see who he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).

Remember, Christ is in you (Colossians 1:27). He is living in you to renew your mind so you can walk in the newness of life (Romans 6:4). Get in the word, study it to get to know the author, who will … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Closely related to attentiveness is truthfulness and thankfulness.

So how do I pass these things to my children? We do this with an attitude of truthfulness. I need to teach my children truth I and also need to teach them to be thankful in all things. This is all a part of being attentive to your children.

Look at Paul’s attitude.

Romans 1:8-12
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world. 9 God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you 10 in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

These characteristics are God’s characteristics. Because you are children of God they are passed on to you. If you do not understand God’s forgiveness, how are we going to forgive others. If we do not understand God’s love for us, how can we pass that love onto others. All of those things discussed here are characteristics that we as parents should be involved in. This is first of all how God deals with you and me. Therefore, we are in the position of receiving in order to give just as Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. We remain attached to the vine so that what is produced by the vine is borne on the branches. Apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15).

Let us look more closely at faithfulness.

Classic Christianity – Bob George (12-18-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George shares from the synoptic gospels, helping people have confidence in God’s word for truth, for the things written down for us were through eyewitnesses of Jesus Christ. The writers of the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, were men who have been with and have seen Jesus. When someone ponders over God’s word, great news is made known to man through the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ did something for man he could never do for himself. Amazingly, man must simply believe in what Jesus said he came to do and has now been accomplished. Jesus came to save mankind from his sins and man must simply believe in what God said he came to do and did. From reading the account from Luke, what can we learn about simple faith, comparing and contrasting the response of Zechariah to an angel’s announcement of the birth of John the Baptist with the response of Mary to an angel’s announcement of the birth of Jesus Christ? What implication can be drawn to Mary’s faith to us today in regards to the gospel message of salvation in Jesus completed work? What role does … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
