Bob answers questions on different heretical teaching in the world today. The callers called to get help in regards to a friend or relative who was caught up in dangerous teaching. Bob addressed the truth from scriptures that exposes the error in the thinking of men. He edifies and strengthens the believers in their faith in Christ and encourages them to hold onto truth and not be unsettled on these things. He points them to resources to help them grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to hold out the word of life to their friends or loved ones as the opportunity comes. Several books that callers thanked Bob for were “Classic Christianity”, “Growing in Grace”, “Complete in Christ”, and “Overcoming Depression”. He particularly recommended “A Scriptural Journey to Discover the Grace of God” to Junior to share with his father who is involved in the Apostolic Church. Other callers had questions on understanding the will of God, the strange teaching of prophesying over someone, the word of faith teaching, and the false teaching that there are apostles today. Bob George answers a call by Lori from Eugene, Oregon. Her first question was about the purpose of the Sabbath, as she was confused on the different passages of scriptures she had been reading.  Bob explained from Hebrews and from Colossians, two passages of scripture that explains the Sabbath in light of the New Covenant of grace. The Sabbath of the Old Covenant was a shadow of the real Sabbath rest in Christ who completed the work he was sent to do. Since Jesus died to take away sins of the world, we, as children of God can rest from works of the law just as Jesus did from his. That is the real and true meaning of the Sabbath rest. Bob explains this concept of this Sabbath rest in Christ in detail.

After asking such a question, she admitted that she was manic depressive. Bob addressed the lie she is believing from the psychological babble of this world. People are depressed because they think depressing thoughts. People are anxious because they think about anxious things of the future. Randy, from Denver, Colorado called out of deep depression as he explained his marital separation from his wife and his financial difficulties. The first caller, Lauren, had a question about why Melchizedek is mentioned in Hebrews. Bob addresses his question by explaining the reason Hebrews is written. Thee second caller, Edwin, asked a question about the reason for water baptism and baptism of the Holy Spirit. Bob answers by explaining the meaning of being baptized of the Holy Spirit, and only that baptism saves you. The third caller, Mark, asked a question with his 8 year old daughter on the line, about children and salvation. Bob answered by stating that knowing the nature of God as perfectly loving and justice, then it is not something we need to be concerned about. The next caller Todd, asked a specific question about John 20:23 and about Ananias in the book of Acts dropping dead. Bob answered both questions by looking at the scriptures more closely so as to guide into correct interpretation and not formulating a conclusion that is not stated in the scriptures. The first caller, Jim, asked if faith is more important than love or if love is more important than faith, as he was pondering over the meaning of 1 Corinthians 13:2,13. The second caller, Lynn, wanted to know what the bible says about abortion. The last caller, Joe, had asked a question about assurance of salvation, but had since gone off the line. Although he was not on the phone directly, but hopefully listening in, Bob answered his question. While he answered his question, he provided information in regarding to a common misunderstanding of Hebrews 6:4-6. Bob is firm with truth from God’s word, yet extends such grace and tenderness to the callers. Some callers are calling on behalf of a friend while others are sharing from their own personal struggles. The first caller, Francisco, was puzzled about a friend’s predicament, delivered from such things as drugs and alcohol, yet seemingly unable to stop smoking. The second caller, Julie, admits she is a believer, but shares from her current life’s struggles. She eventually admits she is living in sin, but seems to be struggling to want to leave this life of sin, because she continues to choose to go back into sin. The third caller, Randy, is such an honorable man, who truly loves his wife, who also is a believer. Along life’s way she became overcome with pride, and that has contributed to their current legal separation and struggles, in addition to this fallen world we live in, with tribulations beyond our control. Randy’s current circumstances are truly heart-wrenching.
