Your Identity in Christ Jesus

Classic Christianity – New Years P2 (12-28-21)

If You Are in Christ Jesus, You Are a Child of God!

So when you become born again, what is your identity? Are you a Baptist, a Presbyterian, or whatever title you choose to associate with? No. The bible only gives you one identity, a child of God. Denominations teach you denominational persuasions of men. Do you hold the teachings of men higher than God’s Truth? What these denomination teach might be true or it might not be. How do you know that what people are teaching you is true? By the word of God you hold in your hands, and by the Spirit of God, living in you, who has promised to guide you into all truth. Do you test whatever any man says is true? Do you test what is being said by looking into God’s word, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to you? That is what the apostle Paul commended the Bereans for doing. We also have the exhortation to study the word so at to rightly divide the word of God. We are instructed to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Did you know that we who are born again are also a part of the body of Christ?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

God Wants to Renew Your Mind

“For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; but then shall I know, even as also I am known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12

So often mankind lives in error because of the futility of their thinking. We are born spiritually dead, without the life of God in us, and until we are born again, we are essentially left to our own carnal thinking. We think we can pull it off and obey the law, or we think we can decide for ourselves what is right and wrong, and have no understanding that God within the man is indispensable to the proper functioning of the man. When we speak to a person who is lost, many will reject anything we have to say about Jesus but will pick and chose the “good” things out of all religion as though they can get salvation from all the different religions. The understanding of the lost is so foreign to someone who is now in Christ. They don’t have a clue what being born again means.

When we are born again, the Spirit of God comes to indwell within us and give us life and to renew our mind.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Make Jesus Your Savior Today

Classic Christianity – Christmas P4 (12-23-21)

Jesus Came Into The World to Give His Life For You and Me

Are you exhausted because you are trying to get something you either do not have, spiritual life, by means of the flesh, or thinking you do not have what God says you already have? Are you not resting in what Christ did? What did he do? Have you not heard? Or, have you heard, but have you rejected the knowledge of truth?

So if you have not heard, this is the truth. Man was born dead spiritually, without the life of God in him. But, you say, that is no fault of mine. That is what Adam did. Are you so exhausted in trying to perform to be accepted and loved? Do you have an emptiness in your heart? Even with your success in this world, you are now asking what the purpose of life is? Why am I here? Why do I feel so empty inside? Those are indicators you do not have the Spirit of God living in you. Have you sinned? If you just got angry at me even for asking that question, God says anger is the same as murder.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Plan of God – Jesus Fulfilled It

Hebrews gives a panoramic view of God’s dealing with mankind and the final solution in Jesus Christ. When you think of the Old Testament, what thoughts come to your mind? Have you looked at it close enough to realize how patient and long-suffering God was with mankind? Do you think of God as an angry God ready to pounce on you when you sin? If you do, then you have not properly understood the heart of God and the purpose for which he came.

As you read about the continual failures of mankind, do you think God was surprised at that? Man was already born dead, without the Spirit of God in him. God, knowing all that, had a plan to restore mankind back to a relationship with Himself. See man is hopeless and dead in his trespasses and sins. So out of great love for mankind, God sent His Son, at the right time, to enter this world. He entered this world to show us his righteousness so that we can see our unrighteousness, and see our need for Him and His righteousness. When you see the contrast between Jesus and ourselves, it is quite a contrast!… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

A Closer Look at The Truth About Prayer

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P696 (12-17-21)

Pray in the Spirit is Listening First to the Holy Spirit

The topic of prayer comes up in conversation with people many times today. People are told to pray this or pray that in corporate settings. Some are even telling people on television or radio to send their money in for their prayers to be heard by God, as though God is going to answer your prayers based on you sending money to someone else. Different groups of people have different ideas about prayer too. Most everyone today is focused on getting their prayer requests answered by God, and not listening to what God has to say to them in the first place. They are becoming their own god, as though they can push God’s buttons to do something based on something they say or do themselves. Bob sets the record straight on all this gobbledygook about prayer.

Have Your Mind Renewed – Not Altered

For many years, Bob George the creator and host of People to People, a daily radio broadcast, connected with listeners across the continent on his live, daily radio broadcast, Bob offered real answers for real life as he addressed common questions as well as the tough issues of today, directing callers to the centrality of “Christ in you, your only hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).

These calls are just as relevant today as they were yesterday. Listen in as Bob teaches truth from the word of God.

2 Timothy 4:3
3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

The first caller, Vinny called from Pitcairn Pennsylvania. He had a question about people teaching positive thinking from a Christian perspective. Bob sets the record straight on this and points out that these people are liars. Jesus doesn’t teach about positive or negative thinking. Jesus talks about correct thinking. People that teach this positive thinking message, leave Jesus out of the message.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
