Classic Christianity – The Book of John P02 (02-07-23)

We Are Under the NEW Covenant of Grace Not the Old Covenant of the Law

~ “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.” Hebrews 9:15

~ Thank God, He is NOT counting my sins against me!

~ “And we’re told in Hebrews. Let me just read, it’s hard to read when you’re in the wrong chapter, Hebrews 9:15, do you want to turn to it. For this reason He is the mediator of a New Covenant in order that since a death had taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of in eternal inheritance. For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. So what did Jesus have to do before he got usher in a New Covenant, a new agreement between God and man. Had to die. And when he died, he ushered in a New Covenant.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Gospel of John Book of John

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P01 (02-06-23)

The Holy Spirit Reveals the Meaning of the Word of God

~ “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching [doctrine], for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16

~ It’s so vitally important for us to understand that without the Holy Spirit of God living in us, we cannot understand the meaning of the Word of God.

~ “But what it means has to be taught by the Holy Spirit of God into our lives today. And if we do not depend upon the Spirit to teach us what it means, we are not going to know what it means. Do we know what it says? Absolutely. You can read it and know what it says. A computer knows what the Bible says. Anybody who reads it knows what it says the issue is, what does it mean? Now we’re told in the epistles, that no eye has seen, nor ear has heard, nor mind is conceived of those things that God has prepared for those who love Him. But it must be what? revealed by who? The Spirit. So the Spirit is the revealer of the meaning of the word of God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Are You a Professor or a Possessor of Jesus

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P806 (02-03-23)

Are You a Professor or a Possessor of Jesus?

~ So many times people give lip service to what Jesus did on the cross. They do not place faith in the finished work, because by their actions they call God a liar. And at the same time, they also camp on the idea that one could lose their eternal salvation, because as a matter-of-fact, they don’t even understand what salvation is. Salvation is receiving Jesus, his eternal life in you, when you place faith in him for everything he did and having taken away the sins of the world (your sins too are included in that) at the cross, we can now shout it from the rooftop, It is FINISHED! Listen as Bob shares Truth with callers on the air.

~ “People who argue or even discuss, losing salvation, don’t know what salvation is. Salvation is an eternal act done by God on a person’s behalf and when God has given an eternal act that’s eternal. But again, what we’re saved from is the consequence of sin, which is Death, The wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Gave Us New Commands of Belief and Love

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P50 (02-01-23)

It’s All of Christ Jesus and none of me

~ “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4,5

~ “Every command that Jesus gave us is an impossibility for us to carry out in the energy of our own flesh, as we just talked about, it is something that is produced by the life of the vine, not by the branch. And so Jesus gave us the illustration of how this Christian life is lived. In other words, it is not lived by us, it’s no longer I who live Paul said, It’s Christ living in us. Now, when we don’t understand that, the best that we can do, as I said, is to go out and produce something that looks like the real thing, but is not the real thing. And Satan’s greatest tool is to get the real thing, or get what isn’t the real thing, looking as close to what the real thing is.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Understand What the Bible Means

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P49 (01-31-23)

Without The Spirit of God Living In You You Cannot Understand What The Word of God Means

~ for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16

~ “So today, we’re told that the spiritual man has the Spirit of God living inside of him with the ability now to understand what the Word of God means. That’s irregardless of your education. As a matter of fact, the Scripture says that he’ll take the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. So it’s not something of an educational deal, you don’t have to be a highly educated person in order to understand the meaning of the word of God. And in the final analysis, if we had the old and the new, totally memorized, and quite frankly, computers have that. That’s all memorized. And, and if we knew what it meant, but we don’t apply what it meant, in other words, there’s an application, I know what this says, I know what this means. Now I’m going to act upon it. Why, again, we may as well not know it.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Loved Us First

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P48 (01-30-23)

It’s Not That We Love God, But God, Jesus First Loved Us!

~ The only thing that counts is Love. And His Love for us is the most important thing to remember.

~ “We Love because He first Loved Us!” 1 John 4:19

~ “Now first Corinthians 13. You want to know how I (Jesus) love you? God is always patient with you. God is always kind to you. God is never easily angered with you. God never keeps records of your wrongs. Now, isn’t that now, I wonder if God never keeps records of the wrongs only if you confess and ask him to forgive you. I wonder if that’s what that means. I don’t quite think so. If that’s the case, and God ignored the kind to me when I asked him and he’d only be patient with me when I asked him and he would only not be angered with me when I asked him and he had not keep records of my wrongs only if I cleared the deck. It seems like don’t you think after a while people want to catch this? Man I tell you so the letters I get back I scratch my head and said will you ever learn the finality of the cross?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
