Who Do You Say Jesus Is

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P544 (06-12-20)

Synopsis

You are talking with non-believers, who say the bible is just a book written by men and a bunch of fairy tales. What would you share with them? Listen as Bob gives his advice on what he would do. Another caller asks about a passage in Revelation, about those who are neither hot nor cold and that God will spit them out of his mouth. What exactly does he mean by that? I have heard different things concerning that passage. And then a third caller, was really concerned about his brother whom he suspects has homosexual tendencies, and calls to ask for wisdom to help his brother. In each of these situations, what things would you say, that you believe the Holy Spirit will want you to share?

There is one thing we do know. Jesus said, “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free”. One thing that I remember that Bob shared was to keep the message on Christ and not on side issues. Although it can be interesting to discuss things such as how the bible came to be, keep the focus on the author of the bible, about who Christ is.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Truth

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P543 (06-11-20)

Synopsis

What advice would you share with a new believer? Would you tell him to get busy, and be sure to tithe, and make sure you pray, and to go to a prayer meeting and visitation, and to do this and do that? Or, would you point him to Jesus, the head of the body, of whom he is now a part, and allow him to learn how to receive instruction from Christ Jesus? Would it not be wise to encourage a new believer to read the word so that he has tools necessary so that no man will deceive him, and to know the nature and heart of God, to know what God has done for him and what he has in Christ?

Listen as Bob provides wise counsel to various believers who have called because they are confused about what they hear from various denominations. They ask questions about if a believer should be asking God for forgiveness when they sin, and what about 1 John 1:9, and what about speaking in tongues and about baptism of the Holy Spirit. Bob gently, but firmly, guides several callers on questions they had on various passages of scripture, explaining its meaning in its context.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Took Away All Sins on The Cross

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P542 (06-05-20)

Synopsis

It is so wonderful to hear people call in to get answers to their questions. People are looking for truth, and desire to grow in Christ, from the newest believer to those serving as deacons. Pastors and teachers are a gift to the body of Christ, to equip them for works of service. A pastor cannot get bogged down in waiting on tables, but must have time in the word of God and time equipping a group of men, so that they too can counsel and disciple others. Recall the great commission Jesus spoke about to the eleven men he reached and sent out. He told them to teach them to teach others to obey everything He has taught them and to make disciples of men.

Now, to a new believer who asks you advice on how to stop doing the things he used to do as a non-believer, what would you tell him? So many people would tell him to do this and not do that, and it amounts to legalism. You share with him that he is a new babe in Christ, and to get to know the love of God, and to grow in that.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Sin of The World is Unbelief in Jesus

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P541 (06-04-20)

Synopsis

People have often called into the radio program to ask for more clarity on scripture passages they find difficult to understand. One common one question asked is what about “falling away” and “not being brought back to repentance“ and this “expectation of raging fire” in Hebrews 6:6? The common mistake people do is not read the book of Hebrews all the way through several times over, and then asking the Spirit of God to reveal the meaning of it to you. They tend to focus on one verse out of its entire context, and think of all kinda of fearful thoughts. What is that sin? Did I commit it? So Bob highlights some other passages that gives greater to clarity the scripture in question.

In addition to Hebrews 6:6, look also at Hebrews 9:22, Hebrews 10:11-12, Hebrews 10:17-18 and Hebrews 10:26-29. When you read through those passages, you will see that what the writer of Hebrews is talking about is the sin of unbelief in Jesus, where a religious Jew is sinning against the knowledge of the truth, who wants to go back to the day of atonement to get his sins forgiven.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Wicked Lost Will Not Inherit the Kingdom of God

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P540 (05-29-20)

Synopsis

In this day and age of the Coronavirus, and various events going on in the political realm, people have asked even today, what needs to be done to stop these evil or deceived people who are pushing for this one world government? What should pastors do? Even in Bob’s lifetime, people called in asking the same question. First of, if you are a pastor, or any born again believer for that matter, do not get side-tracked from your primary purpose, and that is to proclaim the gospel. All of these events we continue to see happening are certainly signs of the end times and preparation for what we know is prophesied in Revelation. The greatest avenue we have, each citizen of the United States, is to exercise our voting rights. If you are in Christ, then you need to ask for wisdom from God, so your vote is in accordance with understanding and discernment, for Jesus even told us to not let anyone deceive you. And, we are certainly instructed to pray for all those in authority over us that we may live peaceable and quiet lives.

But to put it into perspective, if everyone in America was lost but us, then what would it matter if we went out of our way to win the battle for political correctness?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

A Closer Look at the Reality of the Resurrection

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P539 (05-28-20)

Synopsis

From time to time, is it not wonderful to hear encouragement from those who are helped by hearing truth from God’s word, as you were able to participate in the divine nature, allowing God to speak through you? There is no greater joy, Paul says, than to see my children walking in the truth. At times, we can grow weary, but God promises that His word does not return void, and God never forgets the labor of love you do in the Lord. Even Enoch speaks even though he is dead, the testimony of God, of what faith in God is all about. Think about it. Enoch was a man noted by his faith, and faith is what pleases God. Enoch did not face death, but God took him up, and he was no more, for God took him to be with Him, for scripture says he pleased God. God is taking all of us to be with Him one day, and all of our troubles, trials and tribulations will cease. Does it not help you see that for the joy set before Christ endured the cross, scorning it’s shame?

Right now, many of us long for our loved ones, family members, to come to Christ.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
