Understanding the Word of God in Context is Key to Our Proper Understanding

~ “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” Romans 2:7

~ Some people will take a single verse of scripture and twist the meaning of it because it is taken out of context. It is so important to study the word of God in the proper context to understand the true meaning of things. Don’t allow yourself to be swayed by a doctrine of man, taking something out of context and build a false doctrine of law on top of the word of God.

~ Cletus asks, “I have a question on Romans two, seven. I think I caught one of the days you were explaining it to somebody but I cut the end part of it. So I don’t know if you can help to explain that to me about sounds like Paul is contradicting salvation. I know it’s not a contradiction. So I just need a little bit of explanation on that.”

New Covenant Forgive One Another as God Has Forgiven You

We Live Under a New Covenant Today

~` Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:17

~ “And so again, that was, that was true, up until the time of the New Covenant, that was ushered in at the death of Christ Jesus. And under the Old Covenant, he said, he gave us laws to keep, but he said, We didn’t keep them. And so therefore, he found fault with the people and declared, therefore that a New Covenant would go into existence whereby their sins and lawless acts, I will remember no more. And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins. And so that is the new covenant in comparison to the old covenant,. What was wrong with the old? Man couldn’t keep it, Right. Remember how Paul said that there was nothing wrong with the law, it’s holy and good, but when it flows through mid kills me, so it became an instrument of death to me instead of an instrument of life. Propitiation - Jesus Took Away the Sins of the World

Tithing is Not in The New Covenant ~ Quit Trying to Live Under Old Covenant Law

~ Tithing is Old Testament. It was what the Hebrews were to do to set them apart and to support the Levitical priesthood, which was only to Israel. Has nothing to do with the church. It had to do with Israel. When there have been a Bible in the New Testament, it says where there’s a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law. That I hope that you’re not under the Levite priesthood. So in as much as there has been a change in the priesthood, Christ, Jesus is your priest. There has to be a change to the law, including tithing. And that’s why Paul devoted two chapters in Corinthians to freewill giving, to give joyfully to get to excel in the grace of giving, not the law of giving the grace of giving. To give joyfully to give in accordance to what you do have not in accordance what you don’t have. There’s so that’s that is why would he devote two chapters to how to give. Jesus is Eternal Life Giver

Salvation is Eternal Life In Christ Jesus ~ Nothing Can Separate You From Him In You

~ “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2

~ “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” 1 John 5:12

~ Once a person is in Christ, and Christ is in You, You can never lose Christ in You. Satan wants us to believe the lie that you can lose eternal life in Christ Jesus. The enemy wants you to believe that there is more forgiveness required by God for ongoing sins and wants us to focus on ourselves instead of focusing on Jesus and His finished work on the cross. “Salvation is receiving the resurrected life of Christ Jesus. The reason that once you have gotten that life that that life is eternal, is because of the eternal consequence of the cross, where he took away eternally the cause of death, which is sin.”

Seek His Righteousness

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P07 (10-03-22)

When You Place Faith in Christ, He is Credited to You as Righteousness ~ Rest Today in His Righteousness!

~ And so and by faith, Israel was saved. They weren’t saved through the law. They were saved by faith. Moses, believed God that was credited to him his righteousness. The Israelites believed Moses, and followed him over into the desert by faith and faith alone. So that’s an interesting thing, isn’t it that that here, even the Israelites were saved by faith, not by the law, but by faith. Now, then the Israelites in the desert, wanted some law. And so God said, Well, okay, I’ll get I’ll give you some law. And then we talked about last week about what the stringency of that law is, here it is, and I’m commanding you to keep all of it, every single bit of it, and the response from the Israelite was, we will do it, Lord. In other words, don’t worry about us, we will do it.
