Synopsis

All of us are weak in our natural selves. We are told to boast in our weaknesses that the power of Christ might rest on us. We are not called to live a natural life, but a supernatural life. That life to be lived is not us, but Christ in us, as we rest and abide in Him. He loves us unconditionally and has given us everything we need for life and godliness. He shed his blood on a cross only to rise again so He can give His life to us, to be placed in us and to be lived through us. If He is for us and will never leave us and forsake us, who can be against us? We grab a hold of those promises of God, of who we are in Christ,and the power of the love of Christ within us, and little by little we grow and people see the fruit and testify that God is truly at work within you. There are those who were the recipients of that fruit.

Synopsis

So many people call in with questions they want answers to. Some wonder how we are meant to live the Christian life. Others wonder about end time events, like what has happened to Damasus. And in our world today, the end of the age certainly seems to be speedily coming toward the end. Time seems so short, like the rapture could occur within ten years. There are so many signs we see today, like Damascus being a heap of ruins, as prophesied by Isaiah.

But as curious as many people are toward end time events, the nagging questions people have about the meaning and purpose of life are still the same. It seems error seems to spread like wildfire and can never be quenched from being spread to the naive and those lacking discernment. The same errors are being propagated from generation to generation, from denominational persuasions of men and from the world. You still keep hearing the same questions. Is tithing for today? Why do pastors teach tithing? What is this strange teaching I hear about healing in the atonement? How can anyone find out what is true?

Synopsis

There are many common questions continually asked from time to time, mostly because so much is taught from denominational persuasions of men, generation after generation, but also because new believers need to grow in grace and knowledge. New believers are mere infants in Christ, and so it takes time to learn and grow. So, Bob often answers questions by very sincere and honest people who want to learn. But sometimes, you just get a caller who is trying to stir up division or controversy. In such cases, you always want to avoid argumentation, and show respect, but firm with truth and be totally honest.

There were a variety of questions today. One caller asked about what it means to be a legalist. So Bob explained about how believers should never mix law and grace, and provided an explanation from scriptures from the apostle Paul’s letter to the Galatians. In short, as believers, we are not under law but under grace in Christ Jesus. Understanding the NEW

Synopsis

Listen as people call in for answers to the practical issues in life, a struggling marriage, a divorce, how to get close to God, or tough decisions when you know you are dying of cancer. It is so wise to listen. Everyone should be slow to speak and quick to listen. As you do, you gain insight into what a person is really struggling with and get a sense of the attitudes of their heart. At times, you do not know how to answer, and so biblical counseling is the best advice you can offer. But the one person who knows you better than anyone else is the Lord Jesus Christ. Many times, we contribute to our own problems. We do not inquire of the Lord. We are vulnerable to making mistakes because we have been through a previous bad marriage, and are lonely. So, at times we make dumb choices, and enter another difficult marriage. But in all these things, we do not live under the law but under grace. In Christ, there is always hope. Synopsis

Today’s callers asked for help in regard to marriage issues and even about how to quit smoking. A lady called on behalf of her older sister who is seeing another man. Another person asked for clarification on a passage of scripture in regards to a passage in regard to adultery and marriage in Matthew 18:8-10. A person called about clarification on a passage of scripture, in Colossians 1:21-23, that seemed to indicate you could lose your salvation, even though he knows you cannot. Then there was this question that you still her quite often today, “Is a Catholic a Christian?”

Many of the questions these callers asked can easily be answered when, first of all you have the Spirit of God living in you, and you know the difference between the old covenant of sin and death, before the cross, and the new covenant of grace, after the cross, that we are under today. So when Jesus is saying things in the gospel of Mathew, Mark, Luke or John, he is saying things to people living under an old covenant, and the new has not yet come.

Listen as Bob explains the difference between law and grace and about the New Covenant we live under today. When we understand the truth of what Christ Jesus has accomplished for us, that we are no longer under the law of sin and death but under grace. We are now under the law of life in Christ Jesus. By understanding such spiritual truths, we can answer some of the common questions that keeps tripping people up.

Should we confess our sins to God? Yes, to agree with God as to it being wrong, and as a child of God so you may learn truth that will set you free, and so you can walk in faith. But to ask God to forgive you of your sins is not walking in faith. That is asking God to do something He has already done. He will not go back to a cross to shed his blood all over again. To ask God for forgiveness when in Him you already have it is insulting Him and is like exposing him to public disgrace all over again.
