Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P837 (05-25-23)

The Perfect Love of Jesus Casts Away ALL Fear

~ There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

~ It’s so important for us to remember that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. No one gets out of this world in their body of flesh that they were first born into. The child of God has a much better hope waiting for them, a new body that will never see sickness or decay. That is something all of us in Christ Jesus have to look forward to.

~ “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Walking in the New Covenant

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P835 (05-18-23)

We Walk in The New Covenant Today, Not The Old

~ “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16

~ It is so important for us to understand the New Covenant that we live under today. For there are those out there that are still trying to live under the Old Covenant, as though that is in affect today. While all scripture (old and new) is given by inspiration of God, yet it is extremely important that we understand the context of all of God’s word. For example, understanding that for a person trying to live under the 10 Commandments, God is looking at the heart. No one ever lived a perfect life (other than Jesus), never breaking the 10 commandments. And Jesus gave examples of how God looks at the heart, and how everyone breaks the 10 commandments. This is why we need Jesus for our righteousness.

~ “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment.Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Walking in the New Covenant

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P809 (02-16-23)

Walking in The Fullness of God’s Grace

~ “The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord. This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, `Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” Hebrews 8:8b-12

~ Caller: “Hey, a little quick background on me. Before I get to my question, I started listening to you back in 1993. And before that, I’ve been in Christ for about about four years.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Stand in the Righteousness of Jesus

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P12 (10-12-22)

How Can We Be Righteous Before God? Only By Faith in Jesus, the One Who is Righteous.

~ “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 6:21-23

~ “And God says, Wait a minute, you missed the purpose. I showed you these things in order to show you your total inability to ever live up to that law. And also to tell you very clearly, that even if you did, you’d never be declared righteous in my sight through obedience to the law, that righteousness is going to have to be imputed to you declared to you.

Now it says in verse 21, but now a righteousness from God, apart from the law has been made known to which the law and the prophets testify. So it’s saying, wait a minute, if I cannot be declared righteous in His sight by observing the law, from the law, how is an unrighteous person ever going to go into the presence of a righteous God?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Law Shows Your Sin

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P11 (10-11-22)

What is The Purpose of The Law? What is the Penalty of the Law? What is the Verdict?

~ “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

~ “Now, so to whoever it, the law is speaking, it’s speaking to those who are under it. So if you’re under the law, then here’s the result of being under the law, every mouth will be silenced, and the whole world held accountable to God. So in other words, if you’re going to say, I am under God’s laws, then if you’re one of those, and that was certainly the Hebrew, and that would certainly be the case of a lot of modern day Christianity who are proclaiming and preaching the law. The law, then is for you, if I’m under it, then I’m under it. And it’s for you. And there, if you’re under it, there was one reason that you’re under it. And there’s one reason God allowed you to be under it. And that was to shut your mouth, and to make you accountable to God, meaning that if you violate the least of these my commandments in your entire life, you have violated all of them and you are under a curse.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Desert or The Promised Land

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P10 (10-10-22)

Jesus Wants You to Enter Into The Promised Land

~ Just as the Israelites of the days they came out of Egypt and crossed over the Red Sea, by the power of God, they still refused to go into the promised land, we are much like them today. They refused to trust God and refused to cross over from the desert, into a land flowing with milk and honey. So too with us. We get saved and are set free from being a slave in Egypt, but still live as a slave in the desert. We fail to trust God and cross over into the promised land. We can be busy and barren in the desert or we can live in the promised land that Jesus provided for us and be rich and alive in Christ Jesus, where you rest from your works and live in Him. The choice is yours. You will not be happy in the desert though and you will never be able to go back to Egypt either. You will hate it in the desert. You will only have manna to eat and will grow tired of it real fast.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
