Choose Jesus For Life – Jesus Took Away Your Sins on the Cross, He Did Not Atone for Sins

Jim from Little Falls, NY called about limited atonement. This is one of the things that Calvinists and Reformed theologians cling to. Atonement is what the blood of bulls did (it covered sins). Jesus did not atone for sins. He took them away. He took the sins of the whole world upon himself. The biblical word is propitiation.
1 Peter 3:18 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
Salvation is not getting your sins forgiven. Salvation is life.
Romans 5:10 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
People wrongly think that getting your sins forgiven is salvation. That is reconciliation but not life. They have this idea since they have … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

The Wages of Sin is Death, But the Gift of God is Life
Most pastors are teaching a half gospel. Many teach that a person “gets” their sins forgiven when they ask God for it. Yet without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22). Jesus forgave your sins on the cross so that He would give you life, His eternal life when you place faith in Him. Forgiveness is found only in Christ Jesus. No one gets their sins forgiven today apart from Christ Jesus. The only thing a person can do is receive His forgiveness when you receive Him and He gives you eternal life the moment you place faith in Him.
Romans 5:9-11 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our

The Fullness of the Gospel in all its Truth.
Many people have grown in some sort of religious upbringing, whether Muslim, Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, or whatever it may be. But even if you have not, the celebration of the birth of Christ is a well known holiday throughout the world. You have probably heard about a man named Jesus of Nazareth who died, was buried and rose again. Even on our calendars is written B.C., meaning before Christ was born, and A.D., meaning the day of our Lord. So, the fact that he was born into this world is a well known indisputable fact. And, there is evidence that he lived, died and was buried. There are even eyewitnesses who testified of his resurrection from the dead. But do you know why a person named Jesus came into this world? If you were asked, “What is the meaning of the cross?”, how would you respond? If you were asked, “What is the meaning of the resurrection?”, what would you say?
Colossians 1:6-8 6 In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the

The Gospel in all its Truth
The Gospel in all its fullness, a righteousness from God that has been revealed, Christ alive living in you, your only hope of glory, is bearing fruit. When people think of the gospel, is that what they have heard and understood? Or, have you heard a half gospel, a gospel of merely getting your sins forgiven? Have you understand that there is a righteousness from God that has been revealed or are you still trying to obtain righteousness by what you do? Are you begging God to forgive you when you sin? Have you made up your own ideas of what righteousness is and how to get it? If so, then that is what man-made religion is.
Man-made religion never made anyone righteous in the sight of God any more than the Jews could under Judaism, by following the laws of Moses, the ten commandments and all the rest. Neither can man make himself righteous by doing the best he can. Any sort of system man makes up, whether confessing your sins to a priest to get forgiveness or going … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
