Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P537 (05-21-20)
Knowing God and His word, the meaning of the word as revealed by the Spirit of God, is really useful for practical living.Sometimes you wonder what happens in religious denominations, if they even know God or His word. You have people who just do not think, believing the King James only bible, and those who are into legalism. It sure makes you wonder if they even have the Spirit, because if you have the Spirit living in you, you would think you would be led by the Spirit. You cannot be led by the spirit and be led by the law at the same time.
As a person led by the Spirit of God, you will begin to realize when something is not working, those old thinking patterns you used to have as a lost person. You might be struggling in your marriage. But little by little you hear truth, and that truth is maybe taught in a different way than how you have been taught in your local denomination you assemble with and it just helps you to walk free, in a new and different way.

Listen as Bob explains the difference between law and grace and about the New Covenant we live under today. When we understand the truth of what Christ Jesus has accomplished for us, that we are no longer under the law of sin and death but under grace. We are now under the law of life in Christ Jesus. By understanding such spiritual truths, we can answer some of the common questions that keeps tripping people up.
Should we confess our sins to God? Yes, to agree with God as to it being wrong, and as a child of God so you may learn truth that will set you free, and so you can walk in faith. But to ask God to forgive you of your sins is not walking in faith. That is asking God to do something He has already done. He will not go back to a cross to shed his blood all over again. To ask God for forgiveness when in Him you already have it is insulting Him and is like exposing him to public disgrace all over again. We are to worship God in Spirit … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P42 (02-12-20)
As children of God, we have the privilege to participate in the divine nature. Before, we did not have such a privilege, because you cannot participate in what you do not yet have, the Spirit of God living in you. But, everyone is born with free will. Adam and Eve were born with the choice to love God or to choose for themselves what is right and wrong, and good and evil. When they chose wrong, sin and death entered this world, the Spirit of God left mankind, for all have sinned, and all have died.
So since the fall of Adam, we were all born spiritually dead, without the Spirit of God living in us. Then Jesus took away the cause of death, which is sin, by becoming sin for us, when he shed his blood on a cross. Now, man has a choice to accept the life of Christ. For when Jesus rose from the dead, he now offers eternal life, the same life that raised him from the dead, to all who will come to him to receive that life. Again, man has a choice to reject this … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P41 (02-11-20)
Do you really grasp the unconditional love and acceptance of God? Are you complete in Christ? If you are single, do you think, if only I get married, then I will find true happiness, that she will love me unconditionally? If you are married, have you realized that your spouse cannot meet that need? Are you sucking the energy out of each other, placing unrealistic expectations on each other? You see, your real need is a spiritual need that cannot be filled by people. Unconditional love and acceptance can only be met by God.
Now, do you have Christ in you? If not, then you are incomplete, unable to function as God intended. You have a longing in your heart to have meaning and purpose in life. You spent all kinds of time at work to get accolades or recognition of others. But, after trying to find fulfillment in what you do, you still have an emptiness in your heart. You have an insatiable desire for love and acceptance, for meaning and purpose in life. But those needs are spiritual needs, and nothing on this earth, whatever club, activity or work … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P40 (02-10-20)
Listen as Bob summarizes what the apostle Paul proclaimed to both Jew and Gentile alike, the righteousness that is received by faith and faith alone in what Christ accomplished for you, by his death, burial and resurrection. It has never been by works of the law, of how well you kept the ten commandments. It is an impossibility for the Jew, who were given the law, and all the prophets, and for us, the Gentiles, who never had the law, but stole the law from the Jews, and tried to do what the Jews did, and failed miserably. The real issue is that we were all born dead, whether Jew or Gentile, without the Spirit of God, and we are in need of life.
Trying to work to gain acceptance with God is like trying to jump across the Grand Canyon to get to the other side. It cannot be done. Or, it is like trying your hardest in getting the acceptance from your father by what you do. It seems the harder you work, the more you get rejected. The fact is, we have all sinned and fallen short of … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
