The World’s Sin is Unbelief in Jesus

And so, from God’s vantage point, that’s where He cleansed all men, took away their sins, of the world. But you see my friends, we are still left with that sin of unbelief. All people are born into this world in unbelief. And so there’s only one sin, not to be forgiven, sins have already been forgiven, unbelief doesn’t need forgiving, it needs repented of. It needs changed. It would do you no good for God to say, hey unbeliever, I forgive you as an unbeliever. Because what are you? A forgiven unbeliever.

Just as a person’s physical growth is based on proper diet and exercise, so is the Christians’s spiritual growth dependent on regular feeding upon the word of God and application of its principles. With more false teaching, shifting opinions and general confusion in the world than ever before, Christians need a solid foundation upon which to base their beliefs and build their lives. The word of God declares that Jesus Christ is that foundation of truth. With that in mind, let’s now take A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Sends The Holy Spirit To Us and To Be In Us

Bob begins today by going over some things that we have learned in A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection.

Jesus said He was going away. And the Apostles would have been like, “what do you mean you are going away?!” And Jesus is saying no you don’t understand, “It is good that I am going away” because I am going to send you the Holy Spirit. It’s important that we understand how God gives us life through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit into our spirit.

John 16:7
⁷ But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

We see the whole picture of salvation in front of us. For if we were back 2000 years ago, we would have seen the body of Jesus, God in flesh, but that body was singular in form.

John 14:17
¹⁷ the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him.

The Holy Spirit Gives Us Eternal Life

Today we are going to review a number of things that Bob has been teaching. Listen in as he reviews key points. It is good to go over these things and cement them in our memory banks. Listen as Bob teaches through A Closer Look at The Reality of the Resurrection. Pick up all our Closer Look Bible studies from our online store at www.Shop.BobGeorge.net.

Righteousness is a gift from God. Jesus gives us His life and His righteousness when we place faith in Him. Jesus says we must be perfect. And the religious people are out there trying to make themselves perfect which is an impossibility. On the other hand, the person that comes to the end of themselves, and realizes they can not be perfect in the sight of God based on what they do or don’t do, then God says, “you’re right.” The person thinking they can keep the law is filled with pride of self while the other one is humbled by realizing they could not do it. So Jesus has done it for them.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Man Has a Human Spirit That Needs Life

Man is not an animal. Man has a human spirit. It doesn’t have the Spirit of God living in there by default. Man still is alive to the things of the world, yet it is dead to God’s Spirit. Man still wonders about all things. Man is trying to find meaning and purpose to life. We look at money to find happiness. Yet that doesn’t bring satisfaction to life. Solomon said it is all vanity. Solomon had everything yet he realized it was all vanity.

Once you come to Christ Jesus, He becomes our source of contentment. Jesus becomes our peace.

John 14:14
¹⁴ but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

John 14:27
²⁷ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

When you are dead, without the Spirit of God living in you, you feel like there is something missing.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
