Jesus Came to Explain What the Word of God Means

~ There are those walking around today that can spout out the word of God left and right and still don’t have a clue what the word of God means. They are dead lost. In fact, they will live their lives as though God is telling them to kill Goliath, when in reality God has a new set of commands that very few obey; believing in Jesus. Many still pick and choose from the old testament, certain things that God said. They act like Moses, when God told Moses to speak to the rock for water, and instead he struck the rock twice [Numbers 20:7-12].

The Perfect Love of Jesus Casts Away ALL Fear

~ There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” ^{1 John 4:18}

~ It’s so important for us to remember that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. No one gets out of this world in their body of flesh that they were first born into. The child of God has a much better hope waiting for them, a new body that will never see sickness or decay. That is something all of us in Christ Jesus have to look forward to.

~ “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. Natural Man CanNOT Understand The Things Of God, It Must Be Revealed By His Spirit

~ In the last days, we are told that knowledge shall increase. And to understand that knowledge (All Knowledge) requires the Holy Spirit. Bob continually reminded us that we are to listen to the teachings of the Holy Spirit, and not men, for man can be teaching us wrong and be in error without even realizing it, even if the intentions were good. This goes for everyone. For many know what the word of God says, but few know what it means. We are told the Spirit would guide us into ALL truth, not just some Truth.

~ “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” ^{Daniel 12:4}

~ The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. ^{1 Corinthians 2:14}

Jesus Said, I AM The Gate and Narrow is the Way!

~ There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus, the gate for the sheep. If you are trying to get in by jumping over the gate, or climbing over it, the word of God calls people like this thieves and robbers. Jesus is of no value to a person like that. They think they can do it on their own and by their own standards.

~ Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.^{John 10:7-10}

Jesus Wants to Open up the Eyes of the Blind and Make Blind Those That Think They Can See

~ The self righteous person manifests itself in numerous ways today. Many get angry as hornets when you tell them that trying to obey the law will not save them, nor is God pleased with their self efforts. Others think that they are better than someone else, because they never physically murdered anyone, or committed adultery. But God is looking at the heart. Additionally, the child of God who abides in the Holy Spirit will face all types of name calling under the sun. As you learn more about the truth of this world, and see the lies all around us, people will call you crazy, or kick you out of their fellowship group because they will consider you very strange. Do not be surprised that the self righteous think themselves better than they ought, for that also happened when Jesus walked on earth himself. There is only one type of righteousness that is important to God, and that is the righteousness of Jesus himself. Grace and Truth Comes From God, Jesus Christ

~ For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ ^{John 1:17}

~ For those that do not hear the Spirit of Truth, they do not belong to Jesus. They do not have the Holy Spirit living in them. There are those that will always listen to the spirit of flasehood and error. They will not repent (change their mind), because of pride of self. They believe in their heart they know better than God.

~ “We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.” ^{1 John 4:6}

~ “When people are fighting against truth, it’s because they don’t possess the author of truth. And we have to understand that. You have people today who are adamantly fighting against the message of the grace of God. Why would you be fighting the message that God came to deliver to us? Moses came to give us law.
