Join Bob as he talks with callers about a time for all things. Being absent from the body and present with the Lord when a believer’s body dies. We have this glorious hope before us!

Another caller asks Bob about Jesus turning water into wine. Understanding the timing issue too. Very interesting. Jesus does nothing other than what the Father tells Him to do. Jesus lived as the perfect Man, following all what the Father had told him to do.

John 5:19
¹⁹Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

Another caller asks about multiple wives in the Old Testament. Today we are told one man and one woman in marriage.

1 Corinthians 7:2
²But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.

Getting Common Questions Answered; Receiving Forgiveness of Sins that Has Already Been Done by Jesus; What About the Rapture and Cremation; Why Is the World Getting Worse; How Do You Introduce the Gospel to People

Many times people call the radio program to get clarification on this topic of forgiveness because wherever they go they hear so much on this interpretation on 1 John 1:9, that says that when you sin you must confess your sin to stay in fellowship with God. They may have also heard it said that you need to keep short accounts with God, so as soon as you sin you need to confess that sin to get forgiveness from God. Some pastors will call that parental or experiential sin in contrast to those positional sins that Jesus forgave at the cross so we can have this so-called positional standing with God.

All of this is double-talk, not in accordance with the meaning of the word of God, in conflict with so many other passages of scripture that clearly explain what Jesus accomplished on the cross. Know the Truth and the Truth Shall Set You Free

Much of the so-called Christian community have been taught that you can be in and out of fellowship with God, either meaning that you can lose your salvation or you can lose fellowship with God when you sin, and when you lose fellowship, you have to confess those sins in order to get back in fellowship. Has anyone tested to see if what is being said is true, according to the bible, as the apostle Paul commended the people of Berea for doing (Acts 17:11)? And if they did, do they know how to properly interpret the scriptures? Do they even have a sufficient background to do so? Many people do not know what the New Covenant of grace is that we live under today.

There are many people who do not know the complete gospel message, the totality of the cross and of being made complete in Christ. Understanding 1 John 1:9

Listen as Bob George provides the proper context of 1 John 1:9, as that is the most misquoted and misunderstood passage of scripture. Many people think this scripture is written to believers, and think it means that, as Christians, when we sin, we need to confess that sin to God in order to either get back in relationship or back in fellowship with God. There are those who think you can lose salvation and those who think you can get out of fellowship with God, that somehow God is so mad at you because of sinning that you do. It’s important to understand that anything that does not come from faith is sin (Romans 14:23) and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

First of all, this passage is a letter written by a pastor to a mixed audience of lost and saved people. In particular, there were Gnostics among them bringing their heretical teaching. Understanding Forgiveness in Light of the Full Gospel and the New Covenant

Without understanding the New Covenant we live under today, that can hinder us from properly interpreting scriptures. It is like you are trying to understand a doctrine, such as forgiveness, in isolation, and so you have tunnel vision, and come to incorrect conclusions. For example, how do you understand a passage such as this one?

Matthew 6:14-15
¹⁴ For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

And then, how do you explain a passage in the New Covenant, such as this one?

Colossians 3:13
¹³ Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

We were all born dead. Some of you are raised under one denomination or another, whether Catholic, Protestant or Jehovah Witnesses or something else. Or maybe you had no religious background at all. In any case, at some point you are exposed to truth. Maybe you believed in reincarnation, but you willing listened to someone who challenged you as to why you believe what you believe and pointed you to what was written concerning Jesus Christ. And if you never heard of him before, even our calendars make reference to him as being a historical person of significance.

Now, if you are a believer, and you are conversing with the lost, it is good to be patient, kind and gentle while you hold out truth to them.
