The World’s Sin is Unbelief in Jesus

Classic Christianity – Bob George – Callin P406 (01-18-19)

Welcome to Classic Christianity Radio with Bob George. Let’s now join Bob George as he offers practical biblical insights as he helps people experience faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ.

Bob receives calls from several people about asking for forgiveness. They are hearing from friends or those in church that say you need to ask God for forgiveness whenever you sin. Bob explains how this kind of thinking comes from denominational teaching and often from a misinterpretation of 1 John 1:9. Bob explains the false teaching of the Gnostic that were there at the time these scriptures were being written and that group, along with the Judaizers, is the group of unsaved people the Apostle John is initially talking to. In essence, John is saying: “If you ever come to your senses, and I doubt if you ever will, but just in case you do, Jesus Christ, who is God in the flesh, he is faithful and just to have forgiven you of your sins and to have cleansed you of all unrighteousness. Bob says that for anyone to believe both that your sins have already been forgiven by Christ’s shed blood on the cross and that you then must also ask God to forgive you whenever you sin is being double-minded and the truth of God is not in him.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Holly from Brownsville, Oregon asked a question on behalf of her husband in regards to Hebrews 6:4-6. What does it mean to be partakers of the Holy Spirit and then to fall away? Dominic from Arlington Texas asked clarification on Revelation 3:5. Who is being referred to in the passage that says He will not blot out your name from the book of life. Is everyone already in the book of life and then those who fail to come to Christ are blotted out? The short answer is that only those who have the Holy Spirit living in then, who are born again, are in the book of life, and their names will never be blotted out.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p12 (11-06-18)

Bob George TeachingWelcome to Class Christianity Radio with Bob George, the clear, timeliness teaching on the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus, that will transform your life as you learn about God’s amazing love. Let’s join Bob as he continues sharing through the book of John. Currently, we are looking at John 4:46 – 5:20. Bob shares insight into one question Jesus asked a man who was an invalid for over 38 years: “Do you want to get well?” Bob made several observations, the invalid’s attitude and initial unbelief, the invalid’s coming to believe, and the response of the religious leaders. Bob made a point to identify what religion does to keep people blind to truth and what a real relationship with Jesus does to change lives. Bob said that there is nothing more stupid than religion. Then Bob shares how the Holy Spirit living in you was modeled first by Jesus living as a man to show us how to live, to live totally dependent on God. This personal relationship with the living God is unique to every individual. Bob made a point to emphasize the true freedom a believer really has. A believer is designed to be listening to what God uniquely wants him to do and is under no obligation to do what anyone else tells or expects him to do that is contrary to what the Holy Spirit wants and instructs him to do.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p10 (10-31-18)

Bob George TeachingBob explains the gospel of good news by sharing numerous scriptures and discerning questions. He starts by sharing from 1 Corinthians 15:1-5, in regards to the necessity of Jesus death, burial, and resurrection, and asks the question, “What is the gospel?” He then shares examples of men who were quite successful in this world, but how futile their life is without Christ. He shares from the booklet he wrote titled “Born Free” that provides more details on the lives of these men and their tragic ending (https://bobgeorge.net/books-by-bob-george/born-free/). So man, without the life of Christ, tries to find meaning and purpose in occupation, worldly success, sexual encounters, friends, and all kinds of things, none of which fill the God-sized vacuum in their inner being. Man’s fundamental problem is that he is spiritually dead and in need of new life, God’s life.

God gave the first created man, Adam, the choice to depend on God for life. When one reads Genesis, one reads that he was told that if he should eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he will surely die (Genesis 2:17). Tragically, he chose to not depend on God for life and chose his own way, and so sin entered the world through him, and death through sin, and so death came to all men.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
