Jesus Changes Everything

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P708 (02-11-22)

Be above reproach so the gospel can go out. Guard the truth and protect those entrusted to your care. Grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

So many callers call in because they want to grow and have a desire for others to come to know the Lord and to grow. They want to encourage those whom the Lord has used, such as Bob George, for they themselves were richly blessed by what he shared from the scriptures. It is not by what man has said, but for pointing them to the word of God, so they can test and see what is said is true. They find out what is shared, checking it out from the word of God for themselves, and the Spirit of God within them makes the truth known to them, solidifying that truth in their heart. This is evidenced by the love toward one another, with true freedom in Christ. They are no longer bound up by the law but experience true freedom with a single-minded focus on Christ, who is your life, at work within you. The book of Colossians is such a rich book, demonstrating freedom in Christ at work among the believers, and the encouragement and instruction to continue to grow in the Lord.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Understanding the Truth of What Christ has Done When we Celebrate the Lord’s Supper

You may have been to church for decades, not realizing the error you have been taught. Someone asks you, “Do you believe in the atoning blood of Jesus? Bob would respond by saying, “No, I don’t. He did not come to atone for sin. He came to take it away.” Words have meaning, and they have meaning in the context they are used in scripture.

Depending on your religious background, an improper understanding of the meaning of words can hinder you from understanding the truth of what Jesus Christ has done for you. Have you been raised in a church that emphasized the passion of Christ and heard the expression, “Holy Communion”? There is nothing holy about communion, of a wafer that you ingest into your body. In many people’s minds, grace has the concept of something you receive by participating in a sacrament, or from an action of a priest on your behalf, such as sprinkling of what is said to be holy water.

And even the word salvation has different meaning to different people. Some have never heard the word, and simply respond by asking, “Saved from what?”… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Gives You Life for He Alone Has Life to Give

Ernie called from Strasbourg, Pennsylvania. He was complementing Bob about a message he had heard Bob give. A hell and brimstone message about heaven and hell.

Bob mentioned these are messages of truth, that people need to hear.

Ernie went on to ask a question in regards to Revelation 22:19 “and if anyone takes away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book” is this dealing with cults? I kind-of get the feeling with that, in the way of adding…

Revelation 22:19
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Bob explains it. Anyone who takes away or adds to the gospel, Paul says they have a different gospel which is no gospel at all.

But that isn’t the issue. Acts isn’t a doctrinal book. It wasn’t intended to be a doctrinal book.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and you Will be Baptized With the Holy Spirit

You will be blessed to listen to today’s program. Listen as Bob teaches so many important truths from the bible which we can apply for our lives today. It is our hope and prayers that the word of God comes alive in your hearts as you listen in.

Tony called from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He called about Acts 2:38 and also about baptism. He remembered in the past, getting dunked in water and thinking to himself, this is dumb for I am already saved. He explained that he had heard Bob explaining on another program that about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and how he could of cried because he himself came to understand that being baptized in water means nothing for salvation.

Tony went on to say that he had believed in water baptism his whole life, but then he himself had searched the scriptures and discovered it was real dumb to believe in water baptism as part of salvation. But he was so ignorant at the time that he got in the water thinking that was a requirement for salvation.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

God is Spirit and You Must Worship in The Spirit and in Truth

Marlene called from San Diego, California. She had a question regarding the trinity of God; God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Bob explains that first we need to back up and understand that God is Spirit, and we must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. And let’s not go putting flesh and blood on each one. We have a difficult time understanding the trinity because we want to take three entities and place bodies around each of them. How Spirit exists, we do not know. What we do know is God reveled Himself to us in three persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

John 4:22
22 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

And that Truth was reveled to us by Jesus Christ Himself. Jesus made it very clear, and also the teachings in the New Testament make it very clear. So we don’t need to comprehend it but we do need to apprehend it.

It says in the scriptures that there is only one God, and God is one.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Eternal Life in Christ Jesus or Eternal Death in Hell – Your Choice

Monica called from Victoria, British Columbia. She had a problem with people going to hell and experiencing eternal fire or whatever the bible calls it. She had a problem believing that was the case for lost people.

Bob explains to her that either there is eternally alive with Christ or eternally in hell (apart from Christ). He further explains that people get into a sense of sloppy sentimentality into thinking of how could God punish us eternally in hell. The miracle is how could a just God save us into heaven. You see, none of us are worthy to be saved. The miracle isn’t hell, the miracle is heaven.

A just and loving God gave man a choice to either choose to accept the death, burial and resurrection of His son, or the opposite to deny and reject that and live apart from Him, in hell. It’s man’s choice. And the reason for this separation is because man’s heart is wicked.

Jeremiah 17:9
9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

And so, there is a place for those that have received Jesus by faith, and there is also another place for those who have rejected Jesus.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
