Saved by the Baptism of The Holy Spirit Not Water Baptism – You Must Repent of Your Unbelief and Believe in Christ Jesus

In today’s Classic Christianity Radio program Bob discusses baptism of the Holy Spirit vs water baptism. Only baptism by the Holy Spirit, making a person born again of the Spirit, is the only way salvation takes place. Water baptism doesn’t do anything for you except get you wet.

Another caller called in about forgiveness of sins and the fellowship issue. Fellowship is always in the fellowship saved or out of the fellowship lost.

Then there was another caller that wondered about Acts 18:24-28 in regards to being saved by baptism vs baptism of the Holy Spirit and altar calls. Bob’s answer brings additional insights on to what was happening in the book of Acts at that point in time, in that some had not even heard of baptism of the Holy Spirit. They only had heard of John the Baptist, water baptism, pointing toward the One that would take away all their sins on the cross. In today’s first callin, we hear from Ann in Houston, Texas. She wanted to share her appreciation with Bob in regards to a recent radio program in dealing with people with cancers and the fears that doctors are instilling into their patients. It’s also important to remember that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and further to remember that we are all going to be absent from the body and present with the Lord for all those in Christ Jesus. Listen in as Bob and Ann discuss what is going on with doctors today. Nothing has changed, and if anything things have gotten worse. We need to be prepared for the crises that are sure to come into our lives, and it is vitally important that we understand who we are in Christ Jesus and the word of God. So many times, people are not prepared for crisis, because they do not even know the word of God.

Say Thank You to God for What He Has Done For You

A number of callers called in on today’s program dealing with some heart felt issues of life.

The first caller, Hans called from Eugene, Oregon. He was dealing with cancer related issues and wanted to know what the word of God had to say on certain treatments that may affect a person’s thinking. Bob gives some insights into this with him and also talks about some people that Bob knew that were friends of his that were dealing with similar things themselves. Listen in as Bob shares these things with Hans. Bob also mentioned how doctors try to scare people today and Bob says that he is not scared and tells doctors right to their face in regards to that. It is hard to get an honest answer from doctors today.

The second caller, Jesse called from Atlanta, Georgia. He had a question into sharing with his mentally challenged son about Jesus. Bob mentions that we are to share the gospel with them the same way we share with anyone else. Jesus is the Solution Not Pharma

On today’s program Bob answered many of the same questions a number of years ago that are still repeatedly asked today. Tithing is one of them. First off, tithing was old testament law to support the Levitical priesthood. Listen as Bob speaks with the first caller, John from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in regards to tithing. John brought some additional insights into that too, and even shared with his pastor about tithing being of the old covenant, old testament, not the new. Hebrews 7 and 12 speak of a change in the law.

The second caller,  Tommy called from Nashville, Tennessee. He had a question into being given prescription drugs for chemical imbalances of the brain. Listen in as Bob and Tommy discuss this issue. We would do well to pay particular attention to scripture on this area, especially in the book of Revelation on this one for today, where the Greek word pharmekeia is used, which by the way, is where we get the word “pharmacy” and “pharma” (drug companies) from. Manom: Hi. My question is my husband and I come from different backgrounds, but I’m Catholic my husband’s Protestant and we’ve tried very hard to lead a Christian, you know, household. With a husband head of the household and we raise our children to go to Sunday school and we both had the benefit of growing up in households that had that kind of structure. But now that we’re older and our parents are getting older in their 70s and 60s, we go back home and we find our parents aren’t living certain Christian principles and it’s causing a lot of conflict, like, his parents have changed religion and maybe come to me, less Christian, and I’m, we have a lot of conflicts with them and I want To lead a Christian lifestyle, but I feel like it’s a lie when we go home for family visits and it’s filled with tension.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
