Faith Says Thank You to Jesus

Grow in Grace by the Spirit of God Revealing Truth to You Through His Word

Sometimes we all just lack confidence in the truth. We may know the truth but because we have listened to so many different preachers, we are somewhat doubtful or confused, because what we are hearing from these preachers is contradicting what we are reading from the scriptures. We have been taught by the Lord, having studied the scriptures on their own for quite some time, and have a good handle on the truth, but sometimes we get off course. We now start questioning what all these preachers are saying. Listen as Bob George explains the basic foundational truth on what salvation is, in regard to faith alone in what Jesus accomplished by His death, burial and resurrection for us, and reminding a female caller of the proper understanding of baptism, which never saves anyone, and encouraging her to continue growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, as she has been doing, and letting her know she is on the right track.

As a reminder to all our listeners, baptism never saved anyone. There are no steps to salvation.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Sharing the Gospel With Loved Ones

As believers, we have a great desire for our loved ones to hear the gospel, receive the message and believe so they can experience all that God wants for them. If a mother is dying then you at least want to know if you will see your mother again in heaven with you, since the amount time remaining for her to even grow in Christ is limited or impossible. Bob and Amy George had the privilege to lead Amy’s dad to Christ a few weeks before he had to go back to Russia, under unbelievable obstacles and circumstances. That is so wonderful to hear and read about in Amy’s book, Goodbye is Not Forever. And, in Bob’s book, Classic Christianity, Bob shares about how his dad came to know Jesus also. God’s grace is Amazing Grace!

A caller calls in to ask for help in how to reach his dad with the truth of the gospel. Listen as Bob George provides some suggestions to help open up the conversation. He provides a personal example from his own life when trying to reach his own mother.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P657 (08-04-21)

What About Tithing and a Second Baptism?

People who have grown up in any number of protestant churches will inevitably have heard teaching on tithing. A pastor will tell you that if you do not tithe then you are robbing God. Or a pastor will say if you tithe you will be blessed by God for riches. If you have been to some charismatic churches, you may have also heard teaching from a pastor that says you need to have a second baptism of the Spirit. Some will even say that if you do not have the evidence of speaking in tongues then you are not saved? There are people who have been to these churches and are beginning to wonder if what they are saying is true. That is why many people call into the program to get clarification on these things.

First of all, truth is found not in what some pastor says. We have the scriptures that were written down through the prophets for the Old Testament and the apostles for the New Testament. For the New Testament to be written down, they had to be written down through men who were eyewitnesses of the baptism, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, through men who spent time with Jesus, who walked and talked with him, heard what he had to say, and saw all that was performed through Him, and who observed events that the prophets foretold would happen in regard to the promised Messiah.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Salvation: Totality of the Cross, Being Made Complete in Christ and Growing in Grace

As people are growing in grace, they have questions. Oftentimes, they read passages of scriptures like Hebrews 6:4-6, that they just do not understand it yet. So they call up on a program such as this, or if they are around like-minded believers, where they are free to ask questions in order to grow in grace, they get guidance from mature believers, who rightly divide the word of truth. Many times people have not grabbed a hold of truth because there is something missing in their understanding. Of course, if you just got saved yesterday, you are still on the milk of the word, and that is where you are at. You have not had much time in the word of God yet. So it is helpful to have pastor-teachers that teach truth, help out in our understanding.

Many times people grow up in the church world and they may have memorized all kinds of scriptures, but it as if the scriptures are all put in a basket, and as they pull out scriptures, they do not seem to connect or relate to one another.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Truth Sets You Free

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P655 (07-29-21)

Let Truth set you Free and Learn to Walk in Grace by Faith

As a new believer, you will tend to have more of a struggle in overcoming sinful habits, and that is not unusual, as you are just now on the starting line of having your mind renewed. Even as you mature in Christ, you will continue in that process of having your mind renewed until the day you meet the Lord. We will all continue to battle the flesh, and God knows our weaknesses and tendencies. We are all reminded to guard our life and doctrine closely and take heed that we do not fall, and to be gentle and humble toward others, as we ourselves could easily get caught up in any sin ourselves. By allowing God to change us, our thinking and attitudes of heart, our actions will be in accordance with who we are as a child of God, and our emotions will follow. You will no longer be miserable but experience the fruit of the Spirit God wants to produce in you and through you. Learn to trust the mercy and grace of God. So, for us to help others, we are firm with truth while gently guiding the humble of heart to grab a hold of such truth that will set them free that also set us free.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Makes a Believer Holy and Pleasing to God for His Purpose

There are many questions believers ask still today in trying to figure out what it means to live out the Christian life, to discern truth from error, and to properly discern the meaning of the Word of God in its context. Many times believers will be sitting under a pastor who is teaching error. They know something just does not ring true, and they may even have read scriptures on their own and it just does not seem to be consistent with those scriptures they have read. Now, that pastor indeed could be teaching error, but that does not necessarily mean he is a false teacher because he teaches error. Calling a person a false teacher puts the emphasis on the teacher being a wolf in sheep’s; clothing, and that may not be the case. Nevertheless, the pastor is still teaching error and that error hinders believers under his care from growing in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. And there is error that is more serious than others. Disagreements on the timing of the rapture is one thing, but teaching that comingles law and grace, teaching subtle New Age teaching, or false prayer practices, where people are led into listening to demons rather than the Spirit of God, are much more serious matters.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
