He briefly retells the story with the primary focus on walking in the Spirit and being led of the Lord. He also shares the interaction between Jesus and His disciples, following Jesus return from talking with the Samaritan woman. He shares more fully about what it means to walk in Spirit and in truth, what it means to seek God and what is a believer’s reasonable act of service. He shares several examples of walking in the flesh from his observation of the religious world. He then shares a testimony of his early childhood and later coming to know Christ. He shares the tendency of all believers to have doubts and to be discouraged in their walk or in sharing truth. But one must realize you are believing a lie, as Satan does not want you to finish the race. Yet, God is at work to develop the believer. Thee second caller, Edwin, asked a question about the reason for water baptism and baptism of the Holy Spirit. Bob answers by explaining the meaning of being baptized of the Holy Spirit, and only that baptism saves you. The third caller, Mark, asked a question with his 8 year old daughter on the line, about children and salvation. Bob answered by stating that knowing the nature of God as perfectly loving and justice, then it is not something we need to be concerned about. The next caller Todd, asked a specific question about John 20:23 and about Ananias in the book of Acts dropping dead. He also shares again some of the ways people have believed in error, following other doctrines and misplaced trust, believing in anything except Jesus Christ alone or even believing in Jesus plus something. Indeed, Jesus plus anything nullifies the finished work of Jesus Christ, and is really a false gospel one is believing. He also shares about those who only looked for what Jesus could do for them but had no change of heart, concerning who God is or even failing to recognize their own condition in sin to have a reason to come to believe. He shares a message Jesus told that should send chills to religious people who think so highly of themselves by the works they do, but fail to recognize Jesus and come to him for life and righteousness. Bob George TeachingBob George continues teaching from the book of John. Bob George shares that Jesus is more than a man. He is the pre-existent one, God in the flesh. John the Baptist testifies of this by saying Jesus has come from heaven. John Baptist says that he speaks as one from the earth, but Jesus speaks about what he has seen and heard. The testimony of God, the message of new life that Jesus Christ proclaimed, had to come from heaven, yet no one accepts his testimony. The real question that needs to be answered is this: “Have you received life in Jesus Christ”? Bob George answers this question from various passages of scripture, explaining the condition of man and God’s provision in Jesus Christ. All men born in Adam are dead in sin, condemned already, and his greatest need is new spiritual life. God’s complete and total provision came to man in the gift of Jesus Christ. Nicodemus was pondering in his heart: “Could this be the promised Messiah”? having seen or heard the miracles Jesus did that no man could do. Jesus came for one purpose, to restore lost humanity back in relationship with him. Do you know that those who are born again in Jesus Christ are now being trained and equipped by the indwelling Holy Spirit? Let us learn together, relying on the Holy Spirit to teach us from His word. And, if you are like Nicodemus, being darkened in understanding, listen to truth so you can be born again spiritually. So, how does the Holy Spirit train us as born again children of God? Are we not trained in truth, applying such truths to overcome fear and anxiety, to live different from the world, in a peace that surpasses understanding as we are being renewed in our minds.
