Faith is Agreeing With and Trusting God

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P853 (07-20-23)

Living By Faith is Responding to God

~ Faith is a responder to God. Once a person understands the Finality of the Cross and the Reality of the Resurrection, then a person might ask the question, how do I live day to day with Christ Jesus? What do I do? And the simple answer is you live and walk by faith. Now faith is misunderstood by a majority of people today. They equate faith to grunting and groaning for God. Or to try and live righteously, because they still are believing in living in the energy of their flesh instead of resting in Him. So how do we rest in Jesus? By faith. There’s the word faith again. Faith is always a responder to Truth. Faith is simple, one plus one equals two. So what does two plus two equal? The eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews makes it clear what faith is and gives many examples of Responders to the Truth of the word of God. So how are you responding to Truth today? Are you resting in the finished work of Jesus at the cross? Or are you … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Know You Have Eternal Life

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P44 (03-09-22)

Anyone in Christ Jesus Has Eternal Life Right Now!

Reminder, we are reviewing a bit of yesterday’s teaching and we continue on with looking at A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection. Follow along with Bob as we are finishing up on this amazing Bible study journey on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This study is paramount in your understanding of your assurance of your salvation and in your assurance of faith. Listen in to today’s message , and pass the message on to others.

It’s in His resurrection. And again, I state what Paul stated so clearly, that without the resurrection we are still in our sins and to be pitied of all people, even though in His physical form He died for the forgiveness of sins. Had it not been for the resurrection there would have been no resurrected life available to you and me. And folks, the object of the cross, which was his death; was to be able to give us life through His resurrection. And so He said that I’m going to go away and when I do … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Professer vs Possessor of Jesus

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P43 (03-08-22)

Professers vs Possessors of Jesus Christ

Let’s continue on our journey in a Closer Look at the Reality of the Resurrection.

Bob: I think that you will probably agree that teaching through this series on A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection, is one of the most exciting series that we’ve ever done. And, the resurrection of Christ is paramount to the Christian faith. It’s a matter of fact, it is so paramount that Paul said that without the resurrection. our faith is futile. We’re to be pitied of all people because we’re still in our sins. And so the whole essence of the Christian faith rests upon, was that tomb empty? Or was it as I’ve said so many times that the tomb of Jesus is the only one that is famous for who isn’t in it. And again, we have to either explain that away or fall on our face and give our lives to it, that tomb was empty. There had to be a reason for it. That could have been a reason of course, that possibly the apostles came … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Classic Christianity and Growing in Grace

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P42 (03-07-22)

Approach the Throne of Grace With Confidence

Let’s continue on our journey in a Closer Look at the Reality of the Resurrection.

So when we access the Father, who do we access? The one who is full of grace and of truth. Why do we go to Him to receive grace and truth? You don’t go to God to instruct Him. I mean, just how much instruction do you think you can give to God? You go to God In prayer, to receive instruction, to receive grace in your time of need, finding mercy in your time of need. Most people think prayer is going into His presence to kind of get something from God, like a spoiled brat going in, who’s already been given everything and going in wanting some more. It’s like the spoiled little kid whose father owns Toys R Us and goes in and wants more toys. You already own the store. Yeah, it’s just amazing how our concept of God is and what our concept of what prayers are all about. Prayer is going boldly, receiving mercy, finding help, finding grace … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus Reconciled Us To God

Led by the Spirit – Not Under Law

Let’s continue on our journey in a Closer Look at the Reality of the Resurrection. Bob picks up where he left off and shares some heartfelt thoughts on the matter.

Bob: I don’t think that I’ve personally in my 20 some years in the ministry have had any more fun than what I have had in teaching through these Bible study series. I started out as a brand new Christian and teaching whole Bible studies and it’s always just been something that has been terrifically a part of my life. Why, I guess I’m able to do what I do on the radio. Every night is the preparation work that God did in my life in those home Bible studies. Because all our radio broadcasts are to me just a great big old Bible study across the country. And having the privilege of taking these Fridays to teach on the air has been a privilege, beyond privilege to me. We debated on that for many years, if you remember about whether to do that, and we kept getting … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

You Must be Born Again

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P40 (03-01-22)

The Law Kills and The Spirit Gives Life

We are reviewing a little bit of yesterday’s broadcast first, and then continuing along in our bible study book, A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection. Let’s listen is as Bob teaches from the An Eternal Inheritance chapter.

2 Corinthians 3:6
6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

So He upheld the law. He fulfilled it with His life. He upheld it with His death. When He was buried. He buried the law, meaning we died to the law. The law is what killed, as Paul said through the law, I died to the law. The law killed me. And in my death and resurrection, I died to the thing that killed me. So we buried the law so that we could be raised from the dead in the newness of life, being freed from the law. So Christ fulfilled the law through His life. He upheld the law in His death. He died to … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
