What is the Church? Where is the Body of Christ Today?

~ It is vitally important that we understand where the Body of Christ Jesus is today. Many Christians live their lives as though they don’t have a clue who they are in Christ Jesus. They don’t know that they are part of the body of Christ today and this very moment in time. They are called the called out ones. The ecclesia is a Greek word meaning a called-out assembly or called out ones of people. It’s also important to understand that “church” is not a building on the corner of walk and don’t walk. Born Again Believers Are God’s Church – We Are The Church if You Are in Christ Jesus

We often hear of pastors telling their people to “join” their church, as though you sign on the dotted line when you join a group of people. Anyone teaching saying or even suggesting you need to “join a church” doesn’t have a clue about who the church really is. If any type of church membership is being promoted with the group of people you meet with, then they don’t have a clue about the church either. Consider it a blessing if you’ve been kicked out of a “church” group, and praise the Lord that He set you free. Come to an understanding of you are the church if you are in Christ Jesus. True born again believers all over the earth are already members of His church for ever and ever. No one can ever be kicked out of the body of Christ (the church) because the Holy Spirit will never leave you nor forsake you! Praise Jesus! Thank Him for what He has done for you today.

Context is Important for Proper Understanding of the Word of God

Context of scripture is key to understanding the Word of God. We are all guilty at times for glossing over key parts of the bible and tend to base our analysis of a verse of scripture here or there, based on our own understanding or those traditions that have been taught to us by other men. Bob George would say repeatedly, “don’t believe what I say, but check it out for yourself in the word of God.” He emphasized that he could be saying something wrong himself and to be a Berean and go back and verify things. Ultimately, trust in the Holy Spirit to teach you the meaning of the word of God.

As the Thanksgiving season is here, consider how much we have been freely given. If you are in Christ, you are free. You are free from the law. You are no longer under the law of sin and death, the law with it’s demands that you could never keep. Sin was your master and owner. In Christ, you are no longer a prisoner of the law. You were once locked up until faith should be revealed. Has faith been revealed to you? Can you now call God your Father because you have become a child of God, a new creation in Christ?

Even before the law was given, sin was in the world. All of us were born dead spiritually. The law was powerless to save you nor could it.
