Faith is Standing in Truth of Forgiveness

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P17 (09-14-21)

God Dealt with Sin. Jesus said, “It is Finished”, and Conquered Death, so You can Receive Him by Faith. So Walk in Freedom, Now that You are Free.

Have you ever been presented with the gospel as coming forward to get your sins forgiven? That is not the gospel. Forgiveness of sins was provided 2000 years ago at a cross, and is what the godhead had decided beforehand that must be done in order for salvation to be given. For salvation is the receiving of new life. If the cause of our death, which is sin, was not solved first, then life could not be given, and as the apostle Paul said, if Christ was not raised we are still dead in our sins (1 Corinthians 15).

1 Corinthians 15:16-17
¹⁶ For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. ¹⁷ And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still dead in your sins.

Bob resumes the study of the gospel of John. He introduces John chapter 4, but first, he revisits John chapter 3. This is one of the most important chapters because it teaches us how to enter a brand new relationship with Christ Jesus. We not only come to him to be our Lord and Savior but also to be our teacher.

Bob shares again how man is already dead in sin, born in the nature of Adam. Man cannot give spiritual life to man because he does not have spiritual life in himself. But a man was sent from heaven to explain heavenly things to man. God sent Jesus to redeem man from the consequences of sin, which is death. Satan deceived man and man chose to believe the lie.
