Absent From The Body and Present With the Lord

~ “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8

“Well, it says in Second Corinthians doesn’t it, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. And that’s talking about death. That’s when you’re absent from the body and present with the Lord. This is talking about end times. And so it says about brothers that don’t want you to be ignorant about the subjects now again, Andrew, we have to realize that punctuation is not there’s no inerrancy and punctuation. The Greek language in which the Bible is written had no periods or commas, do you understand that? There were no capitalization, there was nothing there was just written. So there’s no inerrancy, about punctuation. And so sometimes you have to be careful with where people in their translation put the periods and the commas. But let’s just go on with verse 13. It’s how to live the spirit controlled life. How to live under the control of the Spirit of God who is alive living in you, it’s your only hope of glory. It’s not an IT that lives in you. ~ When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” John 5:6

“But he says, Be free to walk out of this room today and to know, I am a child of God indwelt by the Spirit of God who lives in me, now Lord, I’m available to you for you to do in and through me what you want to do in and through me period. I’m not there to match up what I’m doing next to somebody else, or to play one upmanship. Or to tell everybody how great we are, but I’m just want to be available to you to do in and through me, what you want me to do. Is that freedom? It ought to be freedom. ~ “In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living.” Hebrews 9:16,17

“The New Covenant is like a will or a testament, you got an Old Testament, you have a New Testament, a will or a testament does not go into effect until the one who made it dies. And that’s why in Hebrews, it talks about the fact that a will does not go into effect until the one who made it dies. It never goes into effect, while the one who made it is living. So the New Covenant went into effect at the death of Jesus. Now, if that’s the case, which indeed it is, because he fulfilled the old, by walking in perfect love and love is the fulfillment of the law.
