From time to time, is it not wonderful to hear encouragement from those who are helped by hearing truth from God’s word, as you were able to participate in the divine nature, allowing God to speak through you? There is no greater joy, Paul says, than to see my children walking in the truth. At times, we can grow weary, but God promises that His word does not return void, and God never forgets the labor of love you do in the Lord. Even Enoch speaks even though he is dead, the testimony of God, of what faith in God is all about. Think about it. Enoch was a man noted by his faith, and faith is what pleases God. Enoch did not face death, but God took him up, and he was no more, for God took him to be with Him, for scripture says he pleased God. God is taking all of us to be with Him one day, and all of our troubles, trials and tribulations will cease. Jesus is Our Righteousness From God

This faith is in what God has promised, and that is that life is in His Son. Will you believe that? Will you place your trust in what God has said? Now, when you are in Christ, what do you have? Eternal life. What else do you have? Redemption and forgiveness of sins. What else do you have? The very righteousness of God credited to you. Forgiveness of sins does not give you righteousness. That clears the deck of the sins of the entire world so life can be given, and it came at a great price, the shedding of the blood of the eternal Son of God. But death does not give you life. Life gives you life. Righteousness is who God is, perfect without sin, holy and pure and blameless. So when you are in Him, you have every spiritual blessing in Christ, which includes His righteousness imputed to you, and eternal life, for He is God eternal. It is an exchanged life. In this study on Faith, Hope and Love, we have looked into what faith is, what faith is not, and that there is misplaced faith, and then there is faith placed properly on what is true, and on the one who is the way, the truth and the life. This faith in Christ Jesus, who is God in the flesh, is the faith we are talking about. Now this truth is what men cannot grasp on their own. This truth must be revealed by the Spirit of God to the hearts of men.

This faith we profess, what is it? That Christ is our hope and our love. It is because of His love that I know what love is. This love was given to me as a gift. He came and did something for me I could never do for myself. There is power in God’s love. The same power that created all that we see and even what we do not see is the power of God. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. It seems people do not really understand what faith is. We have the faith healers who think they can call upon God to do what they want to do. We have those people who put guilt trips on people who are physically blind, telling them that if they have enough faith they would be healed. There are those who think they have some kind of power of prayer to make God act. All of that kind of thinking is error. Faith must be based in truth. I can have faith that a chair will hold me up or I can have faith in one of those faulty chairs that would fall apart if a cat jumped on it. Your faith is either placed in something that is true, that works, or a lie, that does not produce results, or bad results. God wants our faith to be in something that is true, not a lie. The object of your faith is what is important, and that should be in Jesus Christ.
