Jesus Said to the Father Forgive Them

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P42 (05-10-23)

Jesus Said, “Father Forgive Them They Don’t Know What They Are Doing.”

~ Jesus spoke to the Father all the time. And we know that everything He did was the Father telling him to do it, and everything He said was the Father telling Him to say it. So when we see that Jesus spoke to the Father from the cross and said to “forgive them,” you can rest assured that God did indeed forgive them at the cross. For Jesus forgave (past tense) the sins of the whole world at the cross.

~ Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.” Luke 23:34

~ Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. Jesus is The Righteousness of God - Have Faith in Him

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P41 (05-09-23)

Only by Faith in Christ Jesus Can We Be In The Righteousness of God

~ “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we a have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1,2

~ We cannot stand in our own righteousness before God, because we don’t have any righteousness of our own. We must go into the presence of God in His righteousness. For Jesus is our righteousness to ALL who are in Christ Jesus.

~ “For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Romans 1:17

~ “There’s not a person in this room or a person within the sound of my voice that could walk into the presence of God today in your own righteousness. If you think you can, you’re deceived out of your socks. The Wages of Sin is Death

No Amount of Works You do Will Save You. Only Christ Jesus Can Save You!

~ “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Galatians 2:16

~ Many many people are thinking that their fleshly works are somehow pleasing to God. But God says our works are as filthy rags. And as a reminder, God does NOT grade on a curve. And these people that think they are doing good works through their flesh, don’t have any idea that they are dead and in need of Life. That Life is only found in the person of Christ Jesus himself.

~ “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

In Jesus We Are New Creations

When You Become a Child of God, You are In The Light as a New Creation!

~ “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7

~ “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

~ “When you become a child of God, a new creature in Christ, you’re in the light doing dark things, there’s a conflict. So he says that Jesus said that I am the light of the world. And Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness. If you’re in Christ Jesus, you will never ever be in darkness, you might act like you are. But you will never be in darkness. And you will have the light of life living in you. Well, the Pharisees challenged him on this. Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Classic Christianity – The Book of John P38 (05-02-23)

When The Holy Spirit Baptizes Us We Are Placed Into The One Body of Christ Jesus

~ “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Judaeans or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:13

~ “And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.: Galatians 3:27

It’s so important for us to understand today, that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is done by God today. When we place faith in Jesus, God in flesh, for having done it ALL for us on the cross, having completely forgiven us, He baptizes us with the Spirit of God, placing us into the body of Christ Jesus. And there is only one body, made up of many parts. No one is saved by water baptism.

You’re talking about a water baptism that John gave for cleansing, ceremonial, it says ceremonial washings, which was very prevalent in the Hebrew community. Jesus Said To Them Jesus Offers Living Water

Have You Placed Faith in Jesus? Or Are You Placing Faith in ALL the Wrong Things?

~ Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me. You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come.” John 7:33,34

~ On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. John 7:37-39
