Do Not Be Anxious About Anything for Jesus is Our Thanksgiving

~ Jesus is indeed our thanksgiving. Everything we have to be thankful for is found in Him. So spend this day and all the days of our lives thanking Him for what he has done for us. Share that with others. Trust in Him to lead you in all understanding. Trust in Him to lead you in all Truth. Trust in Him to live His life in and through you. Don’t fret about anything. For He is alive living in each and every true believer today. So give thanks to Jesus our Lord and Savior. Share his Love with others.

~ Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6,7

Thanksgiving P1 – Bob George (11-22-23)

Jesus is Our Thanksgiving

~ We have much to be thankful for today, but the biggest thing to be thankful for if you are in Christ Jesus is the fact that the Holy Spirit lives in you, gave you eternal life, and will never leave you. We are to focus on him, and his righteousness, and his life living in and through us. We cannot live his life, and he never expected us to. Satan wants you to think that you personally can live the Christian life. Satan will go out of his way to show you how to clean up your flesh. He will induce pride in you based on you thinking that God is pleased with you when you get this sin or that sin “taken care of” yet that is when you are the most vulnerable. Because there are people that go around pretending that they have repented of ALL of their sins when in reality they don’t have a clue what repentance really means. They have trusted in the teaching of man instead of the teaching of God.

Quit Being a Weed Puller and Start Growing Grass

~ Most everyone today is concerned with weeds in their lawn instead of learning how to grow grass. We need to realize that according to Jesus, “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.” This is why in another passage of Scripture it says that “flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.” Yet most are out there trying to get their flesh all cleaned up. They are pulling out weeds left and right and still more weeds pop up because quite frankly you can’t pull them out by the root. There is nothing good in the flesh. That flesh of ours is going to the grave whether we like it or not. We ARE Told to Make Every Effort to Enter Into The Sabbath Rest

~ This is a warning directly from the word of God. We are to make every effort (come let us reason together with God, the Holy Spirit who lives in us says), to enter the Sabbath-rest for the people of God. This is not a day of the week either as some are saying. It is a rest from our own works of the flesh. It is a rest from our own self-righteousness. It is to rest in Jesus and Him alone for what he has done for us, and gives us, and lives his life through us. And this is something that is so important that the word of God warns us, and reminds us that we are to enter the rest so that no one will perish by following the example of disobedience. What Good is The Law? What is the Purpose of The Law?

~ It’s important that we get a handle on what the Law is for and what it is Not for. One of the callers on Bob’s show had a number of questions in regards to the law. And those same type of questions go on today. Some people state that the law is for Christians today in order that God would be pleased with a person if they obeyed the law. Others believe that the Holy Spirit helps you to obey the law. Others think that God is somehow disappointed with you when you disobey the law. Nothing could be further from the truth. Faith is what pleases God. And without faith, it is impossible to please God.

If you are still under the law today, the Word of God declares you are under a curse. So, if you are a child of God through faith, it says you are no longer under the law. So as a child of God, why in the world would you want to place yourself back under the law? There Are Many Professors of Jesus and Then There are True Possessors of Jesus

~ Today the world is filled with many false Christians everywhere you look. Many many people will name the name of Jesus, but when it comes right down to it, they believe in a different Jesus. They don’t have the Holy Spirit living in them. For they profess the name of Jesus but don’t possess His Holy Spirit living in them. They are believing every wind of doctrine today that comes from man. They refuse to exercise faith. They refuse to reason together with the Holy Spirit. They are basing things on their own understanding and bring up to themselves what their itching ears want to hear. And it should not surprise us that during these last days the Spirit of God is revealing the truth of what is going on. We are in a time where the tares are becoming more and more visible before the harvest. They are showing their true colors. Come let us reason together says the Lord.
