Jesus God is The Faithful One

Classic Christianity – Fathers Day Part 1 (06-19-19)

Bob George teaches a Father’s day message. From the spelling of “Father”, Bob shares characteristics of a father. These characteristics in a father have great impact on our children. Those same things also apply to mothers.

F – Faithfulness

A – Attentiveness

T – Truthfulness and Thankfulness

H – Helpful

E – Encouraging

R – Respectful

These characteristics are God’s characteristics. Because you are children of God they are passed on to you. If you do not understand God’s forgiveness, how are we going to forgive others. If we do not understand God’s love for us, how can we pass that love onto others. All of those things discussed here are characteristics that we as parents should be involved in. This is first of all how God deals with you and me. Therefore, we are in the position of receiving in order to give just as Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. We remain attached to the vine so that what is produced by the vine is borne on the branches. Apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15).

Let us look more closely at faithfulness.

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 35 (06-18-19)

Bob George shares from the gospel of John. He shares briefly what we have learned so far. Beginning with John 1 up until we pick up again in John 7, verse 14, we discovered quite a lot about Jesus. We read about how Jesus is the living word that came down from heaven. We read that he claimed to be God. He said that he is the the bread of life and the living water. We read that he demonstrated that he is God by the miracles that were performed through him. We read that he only did what he saw His Father doing, and said only what His Father told him to say and how to say it. He fulfilled the Father’s will perfectly, and at the right time. Numerous times he said his time had not yet come. He was truly the Spirit-filled man, who was the perfect model of how man was designed to live.

From studying the life and character of Jesus, we can come to believe he is God, that he alone is righteous and we were born spiritually dead and in need of life. Believe in Jesus Not Your Belief System

Bob George continues teaching from the gospel of John. Bob shared from the scripture that when your desire is to do God’s will then you will in the right attitude to believe in who Jesus claimed to be. Do you really want to do God’s will or do you want what you want and when you want it? If you have heard God’s word, are you willing to trust what you heard? Or, are you inclined to trust the words of men over the word of God? Are you persuaded that the one who said he is God really is God? If you do then you would know how mankind was created and you would not believe in evolution. You know the Holy One of God and you know that what he says is true and believe what he says. Even though Jesus is not walking on the earth today, the divine word has been recorded down for us as men were carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit resides in people who have believed the message of Christ and accepted his offer of eternal life. A Person Forgiven Much by God Loves Much

Bob George is so glad to hear from people that call to thank him for truth that has changed their lives. Jeff called and is now serving as a pastor, known also as pastor Jay, is now excited sharing the same grace and love of God that changed his life. Ted called to thank Bob for resources that he could share with the soldiers deployed overseas. The materials, particularly Classic Christianity and Victory of Depression, were very much liked by the troops there. Vernon called to express his gratitude for the truth that he now understands, that he is already forgiven and no longer needs to ask God for forgiveness of sins every morning. That understanding of truth changed his life.

What is particularly special and brings great joy is when the truth of the gospel is shared to someone so that he becomes a child of God. James called to ask a question about what makes a man think he is a homosexual. Many times people ask such questions because they are bothered about sin in their own life and want to be set free. Victory Over Depression Teaching

So many callers simply called to thank Bob for the teaching he has done for so many years. Many have read books he had written, such as “Victory over Depression”, while others remember hearing Bob teach at a conference about the finality of the cross or the New Covenant. Their lives were personally changed as they simply replaced error with truth. Two books that these listeners mentioned were “Classic Christianity” and “Victory over Depression”.

Bob summarized the purpose of life by saying we are to live one day at a time, sharing the love of the Father with people. God loves people unconditionally and wants to set them free. If truth is what sets people free, then error is what binds them. The only purpose for us being here is to be available to God to let Him live in us and through us. It is not about living a bunch of principles or under law or getting a bunch of people together doing the same thing, at the same time with the same enthusiasm. Holy Spirit Life

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 33 (06-12-19)

Bob George explains from John 6 what Jesus meant when he said to eat his flesh and drink his blood (John 6:53-59). In the natural mind, it sounds like he is teaching cannibalism. The natural man understands nothing but the spiritual man understands everything. Jesus is not teaching cannibalism at all nor is he saying that we are to ingest a wafer offered by a priest in order to have the life of Christ. You do not mix the natural with the spiritual. Flesh and blood do not inherit the kingdom of God. The Spirit gives life and the flesh counts for nothing. Jesus is speaking about spiritual food. He is explaining that he is the bread of life, not a physical piece of bread, but that he is the Holy one of God who has the words of eternal life, spiritual food man desperately needs to live forever. Whoever believes that he came from heaven and has a message from heaven will follow him to the cross and to the empty tomb.
