Jesus Asked Them, Whom Do You All Say I Am?

~ “And He was questioning them, “But whom do you say I am?” Peter answering, says to Him, “You are the Christ.”” Mark 8:29

~ God is asking each and every person today, through the Holy Spirit, “Whom do you say Jesus is?” Each of us has to give an answer to this question. And the answer to the question is super important to the foundation of everything. Because if a person does not understand that Jesus is God in in the flesh, then they are Not saved. And today, we have many many people believing they are saved, based on simply believing that either Jesus was just a prophet, or just some sort of special man sent by God, but they do not believe that He is God. So look around, the fields are ripe for the harvest, and we are to be witnesses for Jesus in our own backyards.

~ Well, I’ll tell you, Ted, there’s a lot of things that you can do. In a study like that. The thing of it is, I don’t know the maturity of the people that you’re talking about. Whenever I’ve gotten in with a group, I start right at the beginning, because I’m not going to assume anything. We have a book called “A Scriptural Journey to Discover the Grace of God.” And basically it is dealing with eight lessons. That, to me, are the foundation of the Christian life. Actually, these are eight lessons. And they’re foundational, and if you do not have a solid foundation, it doesn’t matter if a difference where you’re teaching the book study, you’re not you’re not going to grab it because you can go through a book study and still not get a hold of the truth of some of these foundational truths, law and grace. You can go through a study and study their book of Romans and still not understand whether you’re under the law, whether you’re not. And so these kinds of books force you to look up the scriptures, as all it is in Scripture, to look up the scriptures and to let the word of God, minister to your hearts.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

God is Spirit and You Must Worship in The Spirit and in Truth

Marlene called from San Diego, California. She had a question regarding the trinity of God; God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Bob explains that first we need to back up and understand that God is Spirit, and we must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. And let’s not go putting flesh and blood on each one. We have a difficult time understanding the trinity because we want to take three entities and place bodies around each of them. How Spirit exists, we do not know. What we do know is God reveled Himself to us in three persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

John 4:22
22 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

And that Truth was reveled to us by Jesus Christ Himself. Jesus made it very clear, and also the teachings in the New Testament make it very clear. So we don’t need to comprehend it but we do need to apprehend it.
