So many people are in bondage due to error, whether from legalism or from false teaching or harsh, condemning words they believed to be true. Todd expressed the error he has heard from Baptist churches, that is really double talk, that only leads to being unstable in all your ways and living a defeated life. How can someone say you have to confess your sins to keep in fellowship with God and also say all your past, present and future sins have been forgiven? There is so much incorrect teaching from a poor translation of 1 John 1:9 and from passages in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, where people do not understand the difference between the Old Covenant that the Jews and Jesus lived under and the New Covenant that Jesus spoke about. Because of such error, people are living defeated lives and certainly not the abundant life Jesus promised. Salvation is also not properly taught or understood.

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

Believers can get caught up in a sin, whether a continual pattern of drunkenness or even a one time sin of fornication that led to an unwanted or untimely pregnancy. Bob shares the truth of the gospel in Jesus Christ (John 1:12, John 10:10, John 11:25, 1 John 5:12, Romans 5:10, 1 Corinthians 1:30) and His unconditional love and acceptance (Hebrews 10:14, Romans 8:38-39). There is no fear in love and perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). God causes all things to happen for the good for those who love Him and are called according to His good purpose (Romans 8:28). Bob provides instruction on growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18, Romans 6:3-4, 2 Peter 1:4). Bob George teaches a Father’s day message. From the spelling of “Father”, Bob shares characteristics of a father. These characteristics in a father have great impact on our children. Those same things also apply to mothers.

F – Faithfulness

A – Attentiveness

T – Truthfulness and Thankfulness

H – Helpful

E – Encouraging

R – Respectful

Let us take a closer look at encouraging.

As parents, we should be encouraging our children. We live in such a competitive age, that even young children are being recruited for the big leagues. What does the child need? Criticism? No, encouragement. What ever happened to children just going out to play and have fun? When is it okay to tell Johnny it is okay to not be as good as the other child?

A Person Forgiven Much by God Loves Much

Bob George is so glad to hear from people that call to thank him for truth that has changed their lives. Jeff called and is now serving as a pastor, known also as pastor Jay, is now excited sharing the same grace and love of God that changed his life. Ted called to thank Bob for resources that he could share with the soldiers deployed overseas. The materials, particularly Classic Christianity and Victory of Depression, were very much liked by the troops there. Vernon called to express his gratitude for the truth that he now understands, that he is already forgiven and no longer needs to ask God for forgiveness of sins every morning. That understanding of truth changed his life.

What is particularly special and brings great joy is when the truth of the gospel is shared to someone so that he becomes a child of God. James called to ask a question about what makes a man think he is a homosexual. Many times people ask such questions because they are bothered about sin in their own life and want to be set free. Victory Over Depression - Book

Bob George receives calls from several listeners. Ted called to thank Bob for the bible study material sent while he was deployed in Iraq. Sandra called for advice for her struggle with bitterness. Bob encouraged her to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. John called for clarification on the meaning of the Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6 in regards to forgiveness from God when you do not forgive a brother who offended you. Bob explained that Jesus was teaching in accordance with the Old Covenant that the Jews were still currently under. Christ taught under the Old Covenant and buried us under that covenant while speaking about the New Covenant to come. Today, under the New Covenant, we are now instructed to forgive one another as Christ Jesus forgave you. When Jesus died on the cross, he took away the entire sins of the world, never to be remembered any more. So if God forgave all our sins, then that is the motivation for forgiving someone who sinned against you. Mike asked about those who have given themselves over to Satan in order to be rock stars. The Love of God

Bob George TeachingWe read from John 5:42, where Jesus spoke to the world, and said, “I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.” Bob George earlier explained that Jesus came to dwell with men so they may see they are dead, without the Holy Spirit living in them, in order that they might hear the words of life and come to Jesus Christ to receive his life. The life that is in Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit of God. Having emptied himself of his divine attributes, Jesus, as God in the flesh, walked on the earth as a man. He lived as a man, showing us how mankind was designed to live, by being total dependent on the Holy Spirit (John 5:19, John 8:28).

Bob George digresses to teach from 1 Corinthians 13 to explain how the fruit of the Spirit must come from abiding in the vine, the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. God is the source of love for God is love. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love (1 John 4:8).
