Jesus Has Given Us Freedom

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P12 (12-13-21)

God Makes a Believer a New Creation in Christ Jesus

God made man to be indwelt by God. He did not make man to be separated from God, but to have the Holy Spirit giving life to us. For when we come to Jesus, God in flesh, and place faith in Him, he exchanges our dead self and gives us His exchanged life in us. So that, it is no longer I that live but Christ (the one that gives life) lives in me.

Now we should realize and be basking in the fact that Jesus has taken all our sins away on the cross. All our sins were judged on the cross and the verdict was death. The wages of sin is death. It was not out of fellowship, but death!

But now, in Christ Jesus we have Life!

Galatians 2:20
20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

2 Corinthians

Allow the Holy Spirit Living in You to Renew Your Mind With Truth

In order to grow in Christ, we need to replace error with truth. But do we recognize the error? How would we if we are not spending time in God’s word relying on the Spirit of God living in us to teach us. A common mistake that hinders growth is relying on denominational persuasions on what truth is.

A common hindrance to growth is all the denominations not teaching truth. Listen as a caller asks a question concerning a church practice of home churches for today, as if that is the only way church structure should be done according to some people, that led into a conversation about the church being a mess today. The church is not a mess because of its organizational structure even though that brought about some of the mess. What good does it do where the whole church is doing the same thing? There is one denomination where the pastor looks alike and everybody looks alike, and that is not even the problem with the church. The problem is they are teaching heretical … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is the Initiator

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P433 (4-19-19)

Bob George RadioThese callers called in to the original People to People radio program Bob George was on for over 30 years. Most of the questions were to get clarification of truth on some commonly misunderstood passages of scripture. Laurie asked, “Where do you place Melchizedek in Hebrews 6:16?” Oftentimes by simply reading the verses before and after a scripture that is unclear to you, you can discern what is important to understand in a passage. We often want to focus on a very narrow point rather than get the spiritual truth that Jesus wants you to know. Bob emphasized that Hebrews is about explaining the superiority of Jesus Christ. To the Jew, there is no one greater than Abraham. Hebrews clears this matter up by explaining that Melchizedek is greater than Abraham and Jesus s greater than everyone.

Edwin asked a very common question, typical of those who are new believers or those improperly instructed from religious teaching. He asked what is the difference between baptism of water and baptism of the Holy Spirit. By studying the scriptures the answer is very clear. John the Baptist even spoke of two baptisms in … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
