Faith in Jesus Prepares You For The Tribulations in Life ~ Are You Prepared?

Coming to faith in Christ Jesus does not mean that your life down here on earth is going to be a bed full of roses. Because the tribulations of life are sure to come upon us all. And even more so as we approach the end times, for tribulation is all around us. Likewise, when children grow and become young adults, we need to prepare them for what they will be facing ahead in life. They first off need to know Christ to begin with, because Satan will place all types of stumbling blocks in their way and try to get them off the straight path. This is why we even need to be reminded ourselves, that our hope is in Him, not in ourselves and realize that we too can get off the straight path without even realizing it. We need to have our minds renewed by Him, and the Holy Spirit who is alive in us (if we truly are born again of the Spirit of God). For born again believers, Christ lives in us, and when the trials and tribulations of life come upon us, and they will, we can be sure that the God that saves us is the same God that sustains us. In life, we will experience the loss of loved ones, possibly financial hardships, health issues, and face other things in our lives that will be difficult to go through at the time. But we are told that nothing can separate us from the love of God. He will be right there with us and in us to sustain us through these things in life.

Eternal Life in Christ Jesus or Eternal Death in Hell – Your Choice

Monica called from Victoria, British Columbia. She had a problem with people going to hell and experiencing eternal fire or whatever the bible calls it. She had a problem believing that was the case for lost people.

Bob explains to her that either there is eternally alive with Christ or eternally in hell (apart from Christ). He further explains that people get into a sense of sloppy sentimentality into thinking of how could God punish us eternally in hell. The miracle is how could a just God save us into heaven. You see, none of us are worthy to be saved. The miracle isn’t hell, the miracle is heaven.

A just and loving God gave man a choice to either choose to accept the death, burial and resurrection of His son, or the opposite to deny and reject that and live apart from Him, in hell. It’s man’s choice. And the reason for this separation is because man’s heart is wicked.

Jeremiah 17:9

So often people trust the words of their pastor or some person. He could be Calvin or MacArthur or your baptist preacher or your Presbyterian preacher, or your Catholic priest, and you would just trust what they tell you as true. After all, he went to seminary, you think. Or he got trained under 2000 years of church history just like the Jews did, for they had Moses as their teacher. But have you ever stopped to think if what they are saying is true? If you are born again, who is living in you? What did he promised you? That he would guide you into all truth. How do you suppose he is going to do that? If you are born again, did you know that you have the mind of Christ, the ability to discern the things of God and make judgments about all things?

Choose Jesus For Life – Jesus Took Away Your Sins on the Cross, He Did Not Atone for Sins

Jim from Little Falls, NY called about limited atonement. This is one of the things that Calvinists and Reformed theologians cling to. Atonement is what the blood of bulls did (it covered sins). Jesus did not atone for sins. He took them away. He took the sins of the whole world upon himself. The biblical word is propitiation.

1 Peter 3:18
18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

Salvation is not getting your sins forgiven. Salvation is life.

Correcting False Teaching to Help People Grow in Grace

Listen as Bob George addresses questions from callers that are common teaching in Christendom that is erroneous teaching. Such teaching, such as dispensationalism, as if there are different gospels for Jews and Gentiles, and this election and freewill from reformed theology, that God chooses certain people for heaven and others for hell, has caused such harm to the body of Christ. People are living in error and are not walking in the freedom that Christ has set us free. Now people ask these questions because they have been taught this but are beginning to think that these teachings just do not seem correct, and want clarification of understanding.

Other times people are calling because they are young believers and are just now on this path of growing in grace.
