Only By Faith in Christ Jesus is a Person Saved ~ Water Baptism Can’t Save Anyone

~ Anyone that adds to their salvation by faith in Jesus alone for salvation is not saved. Today, we have multiple groups of people that believe a person must do something other than place faith in Christ Jesus. Some believe in ongoing forgiveness. Some believe in speaking in Tongues. Others believe that they must be baptized in their church and a very specific way to be saved. Quite frankly, it is hypocrisy to even think that way, for what makes their “church” so special and their baptismal water more special than that of a swimming pool? Eternal Life in Christ Jesus or Eternal Death in Hell – Your Choice

Monica called from Victoria, British Columbia. She had a problem with people going to hell and experiencing eternal fire or whatever the bible calls it. She had a problem believing that was the case for lost people.

Bob explains to her that either there is eternally alive with Christ or eternally in hell (apart from Christ). He further explains that people get into a sense of sloppy sentimentality into thinking of how could God punish us eternally in hell. The miracle is how could a just God save us into heaven. You see, none of us are worthy to be saved. The miracle isn’t hell, the miracle is heaven.

A just and loving God gave man a choice to either choose to accept the death, burial and resurrection of His son, or the opposite to deny and reject that and live apart from Him, in hell. It’s man’s choice. And the reason for this separation is because man’s heart is wicked.

Quit Sinning Against the Knowledge of Truth!

As Bob has said numerous times, all of us have been taught error from various denominational persuasions of men. The scripture that continually comes up in certain circles of Christendom is in Hebrews 10:26-31. People often think that to mean that if I do those dirty dozen or those nasty nine sins, deliberately, then I am going to hell. Many get fearful of this passage because they do not have proper understanding, because they do not understand what Jesus accomplished at the cross. People should be fearful, if they are sinning against the knowledge of the truth and after receiving the knowledge of the truth. The truth is people do not understand or realize he is talking about the sin of unbelief. He is talking about sinning against the knowledge of truth.
