Jesus is The Righteousness of God - Live by Faith

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ P02 (03-15-22)

In Search of an Identity

The issue of identity is inescapable and central to our lives. “Who am I?” we all ask. “Where did I come from? Where am I going?” Every person wrestles with these questions, and the answers we adopt determine the direction of our lives.

Just as a person’s physical growth is based on proper diet and exercise, so is the Christians’s spiritual growth dependent on regular feeding upon the word of God and application of its principles. With more false teaching, shifting opinions and general confusion in the world than ever before, Christians need a solid foundation upon which to base their beliefs and build their lives. The word of God declares that Jesus Christ is that foundation of truth. With that in mind, let’s now take A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ.

People sometimes who have problems with drunkenness and they are then told you’re an alcoholic. And that identity, they will desperately hang on to that identity. In other words. Don’t tell me, I’m not, because number one that’s my rationale. That’s my excuse for drinking too much. … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

End of the Law

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P23 (01-19-22)

The Holy Spirit Gives Us Eternal Life

Today we are going to review a number of things that Bob has been teaching. Listen in as he reviews key points. It is good to go over these things and cement them in our memory banks. Listen as Bob teaches through A Closer Look at The Reality of the Resurrection. Pick up all our Closer Look Bible studies from our online store at www.Shop.BobGeorge.net.

Righteousness is a gift from God. Jesus gives us His life and His righteousness when we place faith in Him. Jesus says we must be perfect. And the religious people are out there trying to make themselves perfect which is an impossibility. On the other hand, the person that comes to the end of themselves, and realizes they can not be perfect in the sight of God based on what they do or don’t do, then God says, “you’re right.”  The person thinking they can keep the law is filled with pride of self while the other one is humbled by realizing they could not do it. So Jesus has done it … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Convict the World of Unbelief in Jesus

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P37 (11-01-21)

The Fullness of the Gospel; The Finality of the Cross; The Reality of the Resurrection; Christ In You Your Only Hope of Glory

Join Bob as he teaches through this lesson on The Finality of the Cross. We will not understand the reality of the resurrection if we do not understand the finality of the cross. The scriptures bears that out in so many ways. Let us review about this warning of unbelief, that you see to it that you do not fall away from the truth. But you cannot fall away from what you have never come to. So what do we need to see as truth, to rely on and give our hearts to?

Colossians 1:3-4
3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus

I heard about the reliance you have come to on Him. You will note that he did not say because we have heard of your dedication to your denomination. Or I was just thanking God for you because I heard … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is The Righteous One

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P6 (08-18-21)

The Only Solution to Death is Life and the Only Life Available to Man is the Resurrected Life in Christ Jesus

When we think of death, and if you have lived long enough, you have probably been to a funeral service or a viewing and have seen your loved one, your father or mother, your uncle or aunt, in a coffin. This physical death is a consequence of the sin that occurred in the garden of Eden. Sin entered the world through one man, Adam, and so death came to all men (Romans 5:12). But this physical death is a picture of a more devastating death, called spiritual death, which every man born in Adam is born with. Adam was born alive spiritually but chose sin and died. All of us born in Adam are born dead spiritually with the option to choose life. All mankind is now born dead to God, and that dead state continues on even while they are alive physically. Unless that problem of spiritual death is solved, all mankind is condemned already (John 3:36, John 3:17-18, Luke 19:10). But while man … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is God and Truth

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P648 (07-02-21)

Synopsis

Listen as people call to get answers to their questions. Every now and then, you have a caller who asks, “What must I do to be saved?” or says “I am having doubts about my salvation.” Many people have doubts about their salvation for any number of reasons. And wherever you are right now, we all start out the same way, without the Spirit of God living in you. That is, we are all born dead spiritually and are in need of new life.

When you are reading the gospels, you are reading a record of the life of Christ while he was here on earth. What was his destiny? He came to die on the cross and give you and me eternal life in Himself. In order to do that, He had to prepare us and show us what our condition was. He had to show us we are sinners. If we do not see ourselves as sinners, what would the cross mean to me? He had to show us we are dead. If I did not know I was dead, why would I need life? The teachings in … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Jesus is God in the Flesh and Forgave Us

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Jesus Christ P14 (11-03-20)

Synopsis

Jesus came to give us understanding of ourselves, that we are dead and in need of life. He showed us what true living is, what man was designed to look when he had the Spirit of God living in him. He did this by living like us, as a man, emptying himself of His divineatrobuutes, so that we, who are not God may know what it looks like. He did so that we might recognize our own righteousness and want His. He did this so that once the holy Spirit is given to men, they too can live in the same way he did. We do not do this imitating His action but by imitating His faith, His total dependence upon His Father. Jesus said He did nothing on His own initiative, but only did what He saw His Father doing and He did what His Father told Him to say and how to say it.

Now, being a human being with a human spirit, dead to God but alive to this world, Jesus explained things in terms we could understand. He explained spiritual truth in physical terms … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
