The World’s Sin is Unbelief in Jesus

~ “And having come, He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment: concerning sin indeed, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go away to the Father and you behold Me no more; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.” John 16:8-11

– There is one sin that needs to be repented of and that is to change our mind in regards to who Jesus is, and that He took away the sins of the world, and the world includes you and me. When someone says they believe that, and then they go back and ask for more forgiveness by God, they have not exercised Faith in Him. Faith says thank you to God. Faith agrees with God. Faith adds up basic math and says, one plus one equals two. There is no more forgiveness being given out by God. God was in Christ Jesus, reconciling the world to himself, and is no longer counting anyone’s sins against them. The Holy Spirit Indwelt People on the Day of Pentecost

~ “And during the arriving of the day of Pentecost, they were all together in one place. And suddenly a sound like a violent rushing wind came out of heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them dividing tongues as of fire and sat upon each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit was giving to them to utter forth.” Acts 2:1-4

– It wasn’t until the day of Pentecost, after Jesus had risen from the dead, that He sent the Holy Spirit to indwell people. Prior to that, in Old testament days, the Spirit came upon people for service, but did not indwell them permanently, as on the Day that the Holy Spirit came forth to indwell New Testament believers. The Holy Spirit never leaves a person today, no matter what. When you have the Spirit, you Have Life that is eternal.
