The real question is, “Do we want to get well?” That is why it is so good to hear people call in with their questions, for this is an avenue in which the body of Christ can be built up and grow. Others call to receive advice to deal with circumstances in their life that they do not know how to resolve. That is why we are placed in the body of Christ, to help and encourage one another. Other callers simply call to get clarification on a passage of scripture that they are struggling to understand its meaning. In the process of sharing truth with one another, we learn more about God’s love for us.

Several callers ask Bob questions pertaining to things they have heard out in the world today, and not just the secular world but the Christian world. Bobby called to comment on how sad it is when so many people listen to false teachers, like the Kenneth Copeland‘s. Bob commented that the real issue is where are people going to spend eternity. False teachers have just enough truth to draw people in to listen but intermixed with so much garbage that messes them up for the rest of their life. Is that just like Satan, who is really the one behind this great deception. Bob received calls from several callers, asking common questions asked in the world still today. Danny asked, “Do you believe in the Trinity?” John asked, “What does Romans 8:17 mean that ‘we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory’?” Sam essentially asked, “What about the person who has never had the opportunity to hear the gospel message?” You may have heard a similar question, “What about the heathen in Africa?” From the scriptures, Bob explains the Trinity, that God is the Father, God is the Son and God is the Holy Spirit but there is only one God; about the sufferings of Christians, that we do not look for suffering but sufferings will inevitably come, and that there is no person who has not heard but even if there was, we leave that decision to God, who will do what is right in accordance with who He is, a perfectly loving and just God.

Bob George, with over 30 years on People to People radio, reaches out to many callers, offering real answers to real issues today. The callers today were asking questions because they desired to mature in Christ. The callers asked questions mostly out of a desire to grow in Christ in order to help a friend or neighbor. Others, having respect for Bob’s unique gift in explaining the meaning of God’s word, wanted to receive clarification of truth they were struggling with. Another caller thanked Bob for truth he had shared with him in previous interaction with Bob that helped him overcome depression. What a joy it is to hear when someone shares how applying truth and wisdom from God’s word had changed their life, walking in new freedom and joy in the Spirit!
