Stand in the Righteousness of Jesus

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P12 (10-12-22)

How Can We Be Righteous Before God? Only By Faith in Jesus, the One Who is Righteous.

~ “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 6:21-23

~ “And God says, Wait a minute, you missed the purpose. I showed you these things in order to show you your total inability to ever live up to that law. And also to tell you very clearly, that even if you did, you’d never be declared righteous in my sight through obedience to the law, that righteousness is going to have to be imputed to you declared to you.

Now it says in verse 21, but now a righteousness from God, apart from the law has been made known to which the law and the prophets testify. So it’s saying, wait a minute, if I cannot be declared righteous in His … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Law Shows Your Sin

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P11 (10-11-22)

What is The Purpose of The Law? What is the Penalty of the Law? What is the Verdict?

~ “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

~ “Now, so to whoever it, the law is speaking, it’s speaking to those who are under it. So if you’re under the law, then here’s the result of being under the law, every mouth will be silenced, and the whole world held accountable to God. So in other words, if you’re going to say, I am under God’s laws, then if you’re one of those, and that was certainly the Hebrew, and that would certainly be the case of a lot of modern day Christianity who are proclaiming and preaching the law. The law, then is for you, if I’m under it, then I’m under it. And it’s for you. And there, if you’re under it, there was one reason that you’re under it. And there’s one reason God allowed you to be under it. And that was to shut your mouth, and to make you … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

The Desert or The Promised Land

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P10 (10-10-22)

Jesus Wants You to Enter Into The Promised Land

~ Just as the Israelites of the days they came out of Egypt and crossed over the Red Sea, by the power of God, they still refused to go into the promised land, we are much like them today. They refused to trust God and refused to cross over from the desert, into a land flowing with milk and honey. So too with us. We get saved and are set free from being a slave in Egypt, but still live as a slave in the desert. We fail to trust God and cross over into the promised land. We can be busy and barren in the desert or we can live in the promised land that Jesus provided for us and be rich and alive in Christ Jesus, where you rest from your works and live in Him. The choice is yours. You will not be happy in the desert though and you will never be able to go back to Egypt either. You will hate it in the desert. You will only have manna to eat and will … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Classic Christianity and Growing in Grace

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P760 (08-12-22)

Jesus is Our Wisdom ~ Allow Him to Live His Life Through You by Faith

~ Realize God is the initiator and we are the responder. This is key to everything in the Christian life. He is the vine, we are the branches. We don’t push God around. He directs us in everything that we do. Recognize that He has done it all for you, and the same way we came to Him by faith, we are also to walk in Him by faith. It is faith from first to last. We live in His righteousness for He is our righteousness. He is also our wisdom. He is our everything.

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Romans 1:17

You Are Forgiven Once For All

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P759 (08-11-22)

All Your Sins Have Been Forgiven Once For All at The Cross

~ Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. (Hebrews 9:22) So many times, we overlook key points of Scripture and don’t exercise faith in what we know to be true. To continue to ask God for forgiveness is telling God that you don’t believe He forgave (past tense) you of all your sins on the cross. It is time to put that thinking to rest and stop making a mockery of the cross and effectively calling God a liar. Instead, thank Him for the forgiveness you have in Christ Jesus and recognize that He forgave you of every sin before you even committed it. Thank you God is your confession of faith. Believe it! Believe in Jesus. Believe “that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19

Thank you God for having forgiven me of all of my sins on the cross!!!

You Must be Born Again

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ P15 (04-13-22)

You Must be Born Again of the Spirit of God

Is your identity a child of God, solely on what He says you are? If so, you can rest in who you have become in Christ Jesus, a child of God, for that is who you are, who God re-created you to be, what you receive by faith in Him.

Oftentimes, people perceive others as they think they are and therefore assume they think the same way about themselves. If I think they are proud then that is what they must think about themselves. That could be the farthest thing from reality. If someone thinks I did something wrong, but I know I did not do what he thinks I did, then what he says is not true, and I do no have to let what he thinks about me define who I am. Even if I was guilty of something, that does not change the fact I am still a child of God.

In the flesh, we have this tendency to perceive ourselves by what we think others perceive ourselves to be. But as a new … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
