Bob received calls of encouragement for him to keep up the good work he is doing, speaking truth into the hearts of men. One caller accepted the gift of eternal life while listening to Bob explain the gospel message. Bob encouraged him to study the bible to know the truth and left him materials to help him grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, material that is designed to be read alongside the scriptures, so the Holy Spirit will reveal truth to men.

Bob also received a call from a listener to help sort through things he has been hearing in a bible study concerning the Lord’s supper. So many people are confused about the Lord’s supper, and are even scared to death that they do not receive the Lord’s chastisement for fear they have partaken of the Lord’s supper in an unworthy manner, being caught up in introspection over sin. Bob answers questions from several callers, mostly calling for clarification on the scriptures that they had struggle with understanding. Kenny, relocating due to his job, was trying to discern where to spend time with a new local body of believers. He was exposed to hearing teaching on the prosperity gospel and women pastors and what the word of God had to say about those things. Teachers of the prosperity gospel are charlatans in accordance with what one reads from 1 Timothy 6. Bob explains that they are using godliness as a means for financial gain, among other things. As far a woman pastors, God designed woman as a helper suitable for man, and, according to scripture are not to be put in a position in authority over a man. That has to do with God’s choice in creation and not a matter of equality but one in purpose or role. Classic Christianity – Encourage By Grace P1 (01-28-19)

Bob George shares from the Word of God to encourage believers by a message of grace. In part one of this three part series, Bob addresses the attitudes of faith. Let us begin now with the first four verses in Philippians 2.

By looking at just the first several verses, Bob explains what it means to be in fellowship with God. He further contrasts the Old Covenant under law with the New Covenant under grace, your new spiritual creation and identity in contrast to your inheritance in Adam, the ability to discern the things of God rather than leaning on your own understanding, and your freedom from death to life. Bob explains the root cause of sin, the consequences of sin, law contrasted with grace, and the grace of God resulting in a new freedom and attitude of thinking. He contrasts the attitudes of vain conceit and selfish ambition to the attitude of humility.

Bob George continues teaching truth from the book of John. Currently, he is teaching from John 3, where Nicodemus comes to Jesus at night, wanting to know more about him. Nicodemus was pondering in his heart: “Could this be the promised Messiah”? having seen or heard the miracles Jesus did that no man could do. Jesus came for one purpose, to restore lost humanity back in relationship with him. Do you know that those who are born again in Jesus Christ are now being trained and equipped by the indwelling Holy Spirit? Let us learn together, relying on the Holy Spirit to teach us from His word. And, if you are like Nicodemus, being darkened in understanding, listen to truth so you can be born again spiritually. So, how does the Holy Spirit train us as born again children of God? Are we not trained in truth, applying such truths to overcome fear and anxiety, to live different from the world, in a peace that surpasses understanding as we are being renewed in our minds. Complete Forgiveness and Unconditional Love of Jesus Christ

Bob George is speaking on the subject of the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 7:27, 9:12, 14-16, 10:10, Galatians 3:10, 6:13-14; 1 Peter 3:21; Romans 5:9-10, 6:23, 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7; 2 Corinthians 5:19 and 1 John 5:12 are scriptures he shares from God’s word. He addresses common misunderstandings of what was accomplished when Jesus died on the cross and how one is saved from eternal death and given new life.

If you are still under law, then you are under a curse (Galatians 3:10). The law states that cursed is everyone who does not continue to obey all that is written in the law (Galatians 3:10). So relying on circumcision or baptism or any other law cannot save anyone (Galatians 6:13-14, 1 Peter 3:21, Romans 6:23a). He points people to the solution for sin in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23b). In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sin (Ephesians 1:7). Jesus became a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). Jesus really did take away the sins of the world (John 1:29) eternally for everyone when he died on the cross (Hebrews 7:27, 9:12, 10:10) but that does not mean everyone is saved.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
