Bob George shares how in Christ we have forgiveness, righteousness and life. The law brought death but God brought life through Jesus Christ. We were dead in our transgressions and sins but God made us alive with Christ. God does not send anyone to hell. People just remain spiritually dead because they refuse to come to Christ for life. Only Jesus Christ can provide life, eternal life, to mankind. Whoever believes in Jesus is not condemned to death but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in God’s one and only begotten Son. Bob spent some time explaining what spiritual death is and how that came about through Adam’s choice to sin. Bob then explains man’s need of new spiritual recreation, a spiritual new birth unto new life in Christ. This new spiritual birth is what Jesus spoke about with Nicodemus in John 3. Bob continues to explain what coming to Jesus Christ for life means.

Bob answers questions on faith, salvation and baptism by several callers. What is the meaning of faith plus works? Are people saved by works or by faith? What is legalism? Are the Mennonites and Amish into legalism? Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? After the rapture, will the Holy Spirit be on the earth? These are the questions asked by several callers.

Bob explains from the scriptures that salvation is by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, and we also live by that same faith. Faith expressing itself through love is what counts. If you were going to evaluate yourself on how well you do in the love department, going through the definition of love in Ephesians 13, how well would you be doing? The honest answer is, not very well. Why? We never could produce love. Bob explains that salvation is when you become born again by the Holy Spirit coming to live in you, and you walk in that salvation by that same faith. Bob explains the parable of the vine and the branches that Jesus taught.

Bob George answers calls from various listeners, proving clarification of scriptures with practical insight from God’s word. The callers today asked Bob to clarify the understanding of certain passages of scriptures. One person asked if a person could ever be blotted out of the book of life in reference to a passage of scripture in Revelation 3. Another person was bothered about what she perceived as a war between good and evil that if people go to hell then would that not indicate God lost the war? Bob addressed the person by redirecting her away from thinking in terms of winning and losing. God is not in a competition with Satan. Instead he encouraged her to ponder over the fact of how God chose to create man with a free will. Because of that choice of design, man can choose to come to Christ by faith or reject him. Many indeed will reject him but that is by a choice. For the heart and desire of God is that none should perish but all come to faith in him for eternal to be with God forever. Nicodemus was pondering in his heart: “Could this be the promised Messiah”? having seen or heard the miracles Jesus did that no man could do. Jesus came for one purpose, to restore lost humanity back in relationship with him. Do you know that those who are born again in Jesus Christ are now being trained and equipped by the indwelling Holy Spirit? Let us learn together, relying on the Holy Spirit to teach us from His word. And, if you are like Nicodemus, being darkened in understanding, listen to truth so you can be born again spiritually. So, how does the Holy Spirit train us as born again children of God? Are we not trained in truth, applying such truths to overcome fear and anxiety, to live different from the world, in a peace that surpasses understanding as we are being renewed in our minds.
